In Harbaugh we trust. There has been so much talk about Harbaugh liking Kaepernick for months so this didnt seem like a surprise to me. Hopefully he can solve our QB problem.

Alex and Colin compete for job
Alex wins

and gets start vs Seahawks
Alex gets taken out after 1st possession after 49er faithful demand for Colin
Colin is named starter for the rest of season, 5-7 wins, miss playoffs
Luck declares for draft.
49ers trade Colin and the kitchen sink for 1st pick in 2012
With the 1st pick of the 2012 draft, the San Francisco 49ers select Andrew Luck

On the real though, I've heard/read positive things of Colin. I wish him the best of luck.
