Right. J meeks was a key signing during the Joe Dumas regine. Stan Van is gonna build a better bench next season. Steve Blake gonna be gone.  Bench finna be like a defensive pg, Jody, Johnson, a strech 4, and a 7ft center like Hasheem.

Dwight takes 1 shot in all of four 4th quarters?

There in lies the problem. Who runs point? Harden does.
Harden is the solution to the problem.
Harden is the problem.
Not Dwight.
Not the bench.
Not the Coach.
Not nothing nowhere never.
Harden.

Yikes. Why aren't they feeding him? Is it like a blockout or something?

Why cant these muti millionares learn how to shoot? Freethrows is called that cause its a freeshot. You as a man stand still and shoot. Nobody in your way. Its free. If somebody keep fouling you for a FREE shot, you better make it.

No lie I thought the pistons were going to upset them lol. But who tf thought a 1 seed would do that do a 8th seed.

Yes, the Rockets' problems stem from the guy who put up 29-6-7-2 this season.

Some of y'all... :smh:

Melo has put up those stats almost good whole career, yet wouldn't many people say that Knicks' problems stem from him?

Don't let Harden's numbers fool you. His gaudy numbers come from being a statue of defense, ball dominant, an inefficient shooter, and getting the benefit of the doubt on many foul calls. There is no doubt that he is talented and exciting as hell to watch 1 on 1, but there are 4 other players he relegates to casual fans when he's on the court

As much as Dwight turns the ball over, Brewer be useless, Ariza continuing to be less than 30% shooting, and Terrence Jones getting the workload of your PF spot for most of the year, I'd regulate them as spectators too. Also, Harden had similar #s last year while actually playing much better D, so, yea.

Even with his turnovers, there's no reason for why the rockets are paying Dwight that much to take less than 10 shots a game. It just doesn't make sense. He's shooting 60% in the post, is more athletic than most centers and probably has more stamina. Feed that man in the paint, get the other team's big man in foul trouble and out the game. It's that simple.

And Ariza shoots about as well as harden so I'm not really understanding your logic on his diminished role on the rockets.

Ariza does not shoot as well as Harden, so I'm not understanding your logic in saying this. I'm also not understanding Ariza's "diminished role", as he's on the court as long as Harden is every game.

Ariza got greedy. Should have never left DC

Yep, Ariza should've never left DC, even though he played much better the following year as a Rocket, got more money, and was just in the WCF.

Attempt at trade embargo. Harden making Dwight's stats look weak so other teams think he's washed and ends up staying with Houston. Thus, harden will always have his scapegoat

Didn't realize I've have to correct a host of goofy inaccurate statements all at once. Dwight probably would get more touches late if he could be relied on for FTs, and wouldn't be an automatic turnovers machine most of the time. There was a completely embarrassing TO where he tried to dribble and the ball just randomly bounced in the air and Bogut took it from him. Dwight's best games are when he's playing good defense, grabbing boards, PnR, and getting cutbacks. None of that is "feeding Dwight", cause if you "feed Dwight" it results in hapless left-handed layup bricks, or him being fouled, most often with him missing FTs. I swear it feels like I'm watching a different bball game than everyone else.

1st boys fishing right?
Crazy, Cavs swept their opponent and Detroit still goes fishing, after a 1 win Rockets team does.

The Association stays giving Lebron the rest of a Greek god.

James soften

What would happen in the 4th if they fed dwight and the defense just starts hacking him? Not even the rules committee could save him in that scenario

They can foul Dwight without the ball...and they don't when he's in the 4th.

The fact that he has ONE SHOT ATTEMPT is truly ridiculous. Mind you, he was 7-7 from the field today. Dwight is going possessions without even touching the ball. Can't count how many times they missed him on duck ins..oops etc. If Houston moved the ball, and hit Dwight with some lobs..quick posts and feeds like they did in the first half....they woulda been in the game.

And casuals on Twitter taking ESPN's Dwight stats as him sucking in the 4th....not realizing that he has one shot attempt .

For the most part I agree with this.

dwight chose to leave a SG who literally has over a decades worth of experience on how to feed and let big men shine to play with james harden

To be fair the wheels just fell off this season but Dwight has been good to us and I think his decline is overstated. While its noticeable he still one of the best bigs in the game.

You might be watching a different game.

Essentially what you're implying is that Dwight should never get the ball unless it's off a lob or PNR. With that logic, Houston might as well have any 7 footer playing center. Get a plumlee down there instead at half the cost. You want the rockets to use Dwight in the same manner in which the warriors use bogut, but the only problem to that is they don't have that luxury. They need Dwight to be the 2nd option when he's on the court. And by your summary of Dwight, he seems to turn it over every time he touches the ball... Which idk what game I was watching but he wasn't doing that too often today.

In Shaq time, so much money was spent hiring trainers, doctors, scientists and so to teach him to shoot free throw. He never was abel to make it tho.

100% true. He ain't what he used to be...which was a TOP 3 Player in the game. He was one of the "Untouchables"...but he's still easily one of the best bigs in the game.

Problem with him is, he can't stay healthy. I do feel like he takes games off here and there though.

Well he not 22 anymore

McHale said something about Howard on TNT during his visit this year(March Madness time)

Something to the degree of 'Dwight has had so many problems with his back that he can't "get low". He works just as hard if not harder than anybody he's ever Coached but he's just so limited in his range now'

Something like that.
I noticed this before he said something. That's why Dwight is always so upright and stiff and probably can't bend over for loose balls. May be why he loses dribbles.

I've noticed it even more since the comment. His value surely diminished even more, after that comment.
