Official 2017 Knicks Offseason thread, Phil Jackson gone

Kinda sad how this is looking like a potentially nasty breakup

Melo's been nothing but class in his time here

Management need to reign in their 'sauce' or be upfront about what they want. They act like a dude trying to get their girl to break up with them. Man up Phil and say it with your chest!

No I don't. I believe he's frustrated because he's feeling upper management (Phil & posse) is clearly trying to push him out when he's said I don't know how many times he doesn't wanna leave and hasn't even given it any thought
You know where frustration leads, add on to however more years he has left on his contract + with added frustrations and continuous questions about his status on him wanting to stay in NY.

We all know he wants to stay in NY, but when push come to shove, he might kick down that door.

If he ends up staying and finish his contract, which I'm sure he will do, he gets major kudos.

such a dumb question to ask.... melo hasnt indicated anything about leaving and that was all the media... Dolan should ask Phil if hes serious about the Knicks job
Dumb questions are the one that are not asked.

Dumb questions are the one that you hold inside forever all because you're afraid it's dumb.

It's a forum and questions of all types are asked.

Phil and his passive aggressiveness is annoying.

Either tell them man you want him gone or say nothing at all.

when phil was hired he was supposed to be the savior to this franchise and finally let dolan take a back seat...but the franchise has actually regressed significantly since hes been here :smh:

Its funny how some of the same ppl that been talking trade Melo or were literally just playing with the idea of trade scenarios involving Melo are now giving Melo props for something we been knew.

Yall dudes have gone mad for real. Just complete random **** going on in here

You either think the season is over and should stop watching or keep hoping we get to the playoffs and do something.

What would be gained or beneficial if Phil publicly or directly told Melo he wants him off the team?

You think we would be better off? Really?

The guy trying to get his girl to break up with him would never tell her that. Makes no sense.

Told y'all Phil was a mark
Idk what you said in particular, but the thread sentiment overall at the time was head over heels over the hire. You couldn't tell nobody **** otherwise at the time.

My other observation is how do you even still have faith in the knicks drafting, they been failing at it over 20 years. I wasn't even a fan of drafting Charlie Ward, but that's just me...

Im all for melo staying, but this has to be brought to the media by the organization. If Melo is gonna be shopped and forced out or hes going to finish his career in nyc. The stupid speculations are causing more drama then anything. D Rose experiment has failed and luckily for us, hes on an expiring contract. That issue should take care of itself regardless if hes traded or not.

Now to Noah - we ****** up. If phil wants to make us knick fans happy, it would be by unloading his contract.

I know some of your are courntey lee fans for some odd reason, but he can kick rocks too, the SG position in the league nowadays is a specialist position. He doesnt do anything exceptional. Get a knock down shooter or get a defeneive stopper which he is average in both.

Im all for tanking at this point in the year, if were gonna suck let the young boys go out and do dumb **** every game so they can get experience.

Phil is the guy, Melo is the chick. Phil should MAN UP and tell Melo where his head is. A BAN will act like a ***** and try to get his girl to break up with him rather tell her straight up 'it ain't working out'. Melo could be focused knowing management is behind him or really consider waiving the NTC if that's not the case. All these 'sources say' scenarios are whack as hell... I don't think the Knicks are better off if it happens though..

that's what I'm saying. Stop beating around the bush, throwing him off and the team. Either be a man like how he was to Jeanie.... oh wait, I think Jeanie told him they should split . Anyways, tell Melo they want to move on from him or if not, stop being a distraction for the remainder of his contract.

Oh y'all love Melo now. Remember #InPhilWeTrust?

I knew very well that being a coach and GM were 2 different things

I didn't think anything could be worse than Dolan running the show but Phil has sure proved me wrong
