I'm so tempted to unload my ROTYs right now since my size is going for almost $700... I haven't wore em yet and I have enough brown shoes so I won't really miss em. I did drive like an hour in a snow storm to get the damn things though (for retail, of course), so I kinda want to keep them just for that reason but I dunno man...

Could've been had for 170-190 for a good 3 months though so there was ample time to grab them if you wanted. It was so many great pairs releasing around this time. ROTY's, Unions, Pine Green and Court Purple 1.0s, Nigels.

I feel like a dummy for not paying $300 resale for Chis soon after release in 2015 because I thought it was too much at the time

I paid $350, that was the most I had ever paid for resell at that time. I was mad at myself for 2 days, but once I got them in hand, I knew it was worth it. Seeing them prices now, I'm glad I didn't talk myself out of it

I would also sell those ROY's. If you haven't worn them and can get that kind of money out of them, let them go. I don't have any DS pairs in my small collection now and I don't intend on changing that with any new pickups either. Wear them or let them go.

The issue is that if you've held on to DS ROTY's for 2+ years and the price is where it is now, how much will they be worth in another 2 years? It's complete speculation but I'm sure everyone who let 2015 Chis go for 2017 prices are kicking themselves now.

The issue is that if you've held on to DS ROTY's for 2+ years and the price is where it is now, how much will they be worth in another 2 years? It's complete speculation but I'm sure everyone who let 2015 Chis go for 2017 prices are kicking themselves now.

That's true. Just depends on what people want to do with that money or if they even want or need it then. I let go my SBB 1.0 when they hit $1k and I am good with that. Also sold my 2015 Chicago's for $1600 and I am sure they are up in value now also. To me, once a DS shoe of mine hits a certain value, I just cant wear it and un DS it. I would rather put that cash elsewhere. I feel like I got my money out of it and if someone else can cash in and hold longer, props to them.
