Yeah same here. They string you along. That's happened the last 3 years to me with NBA 2K.

Currently have my $79.99 Special Edition pre-ordered on Amazon. Anyone know of any better in-store deals or exta DLC you might get?

I can wait a week...

Hope R* comes through with the same day delivery before I get home from work.

Exactly, nyc has dissapointed me too, the music industry needs to take notes

For anyone in NYC there is a dude on craigslist selling the game for both 360 and PS3 for $100 in Brooklyn the Bensonhurst area.

http://newyork.craigslist.org/brk/vgm/4057137459.html

I just emailed this guy asking for proof. If he's legit I'm copping. What's an extra 45 dollars?

Let me know how it goes.

Report back with info, cause I'm a quick train ride away from his location

Yeah I wanna see what transpires, but since I have it preordered already and itl's only a week away I'll wait it out.

I'd never pay $100 for any game (BioShock/Infinite, MGSV, or Fallout 4), but hopefully he isn't wasting your time.

It's tough now to get games early in nyc now. The mom and pops stores don't get fined. their distributors do. Unless the unless the mom and pops got a hook up with the distributor expect them to receive it Monday around 5pm.

It's been an hour and dude hasn't hit me back yet :{

I wish I saw this when it was first posted

Grand Theft Auto Online Details Revealed
Over 500 missions will be available.
by Luke Karmali SEPTEMBER 11, 2013
Rockstar has revealed the hope behind Grand Theft Auto Online is "to create an entire Grand Theft Auto world that consists of everything we've done or are going to do then let the player freely move between them."

That's what Rockstar North president Leslie Benzies told the latest issue of Game Informer, lending credence to the notion that other famous GTA locales like Liberty City will one day be available in GTA Online.

Benzies also revealed that the studio has been throwing around the concept of Grand Theft Auto Online since it started working on GTA 3, explaining, "We've always wanted to create a world with the complexity of a single-player Grand Theft Auto game with the addition of real players. We wanted a world where people could spend years without getting bored of playing the same content over and over.

"I think we've managed to achieve something very close to our dream."

Elsewhere in the six-page spread, a number of new details about the online component of Grand Theft Auto V are revealed. For starters, over 500 missions will be available in GTA Online when it launches, some of which can be completed solo while others will require you to team up. All of them take place after the conclusion of the single-player game, meaning some familiar faces will make an appearance. If you make friends with the right people you'll also be granted bonuses (for example, biker gangs may offer mission support or a hacker can hide you on the radar in multiplayer matches).

[We want to make] an entire Grand Theft Auto world that consists of everything we've done or are going to do then let the player freely move between them.

GTA Online will be populated by your friends and crew members first, before shifting to include players of a similar skill level from your geographic region. The option is there, however, to fully handpick everyone you play with. When you start your online adventure, you'll have to choose your character's parents, lifestyle and preferences, all of which determine your starting statistics, which can be upgraded. You'll also be able to select a female avatar.

Pretty much all activities from the single-player campaign will be available online including "heists, missions, robberies, assaulting gang hideouts, hijacking armored vehicles, races" along with "tennis, golf and base jumping". In terms of the ones on offer, they'll change regularly as they're controlled via Rockstar's Social Club. After you've completed a task, your crew leader will decide who keeps the loot while you're guaranteed to receive Reputation Points and cash rewards.

The point of the game is to amass heaps of cash and buy assets such as cars and houses; houses will have space for storing cars, with cheap ones offering two garage spaces compared to expensive penthouses holding ten. You'll want to visit ATMs often too, as rival players can kill you and take any cash you have on you at the time. If you're unlucky enough to be robbed though, you can put a bounty on the perpetrator's head in a bid to get some revenge.

Grand Theft Auto V is due out on PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 on September 17, with Grand Theft Auto Online scheduled to launch two weeks later on October 1.

If your getting the collecter's edition and don't want the hat PM me I'll buy for a decent price.

NOT MY WORDS I COPIED?PASTED FROM ANOTHER GAMING WEBSITE FORUM

Buddy of mine is a manager at a flagship location at a gamestop. Him and a few other managers from his store got to sit down with the game for an hour, it was something rockstar was apparently doing to increase hype and "Make the store clerks more knowledgeable with the product" as he put it

Anyway, he told me a multitude of things about his experience, but one was VERY interesting. He went into detail about the mission structure, graphics, stuff we already knew, but the most interesting thing he told me was BY FAR this.

So we are aware that we can switch characters on the fly and they will be doing certain activities, living day to day life. But apparently, when you are playing as one character you can also completely randomly cross paths with another of the characters

For instance, my buddy told me about how he was playing as Michael and driving down a street trying to go to a mission marker, when BOOM out of nowhere he sees a high speed car chase wizz past him with trevor on a motorcycle shooting at 3-4 cop cars chasing him, when he turned the car to look apparently michael made a comment, something along the lines of "Jesus ******* christ.. Trevor" and then a prompt came up to join in on the fun it said "Help Trevor?" and there was a yes or no option. He selected yes and then was locked out of using franklin for a while, and could switch between michael and trevor, once the mission started there was a phonecall between them (While still driving) and they had a disagreement on how to deal with the situation.

While playing as trevor apparently the objective was "Escape the cops and eliminate the stragglers" and as Michael it was "Escape the cops and hide your vehicle"

Meaning depending on your character you get to choose the course of action you want to take.

Very very cool (i do not believe this was confirmed, if it was my apologies)
