yeah i have all of that. i installed the perfect storm theme but i cant seem to get my own background on there

And how do you change the text on the top left that says "ATT" as well as "Slide to Unlock"? Customize won't work, since it says "Cant Save String".
(There are other tutorials on how to do this)
2. Go into the IPhone folder.
/System/Library/CoreServices/SpringBoard.app/English.lproj/
3. Download "SpringBoard.strings" to your computer and rename it to SpringBoard.plist
4. Now download this version: http://www.mediafire.com/?lqubey0qwjz
5. There are 2 files. One for the MAC OS and one for Windows.
Unzip the files and open the one you need. (MAC users may need Perf Setter. google it)
6. The string you are looking for is "AWAY_LOCK_LABEL"
7. Change it to whatever you like, and save. (Only change the string not the key)
8. Then rename the file back to SpringBoard.strings.
9. Now place the new edited file back in.
/System/Library/CoreServices/SpringBoard.app/English.lproj/
10. Reboot your phone.
Your Slide to unlock text should now be w/e you changed it to.
File example.

<key>AWAY_MISSED_CALL_LABEL</key>

two options, either go into winterboard and move user wallpaper and user lockscreen to the very top (above the perfect storm theme)
or SSH into the theme and delete the wallpaper of the theme.

#1 did you try google or youtube? probably not...
#2 you have to post what type of specs you are working with.. 3g or 2g or first-gen.. what firmware.. windows or mac...

Ok i just jailbreaked my phone following the directions on iclarified. i have cydia on my 3g iphone 2.2.1. what step should i take now as to adding apps andcustomizing my background. thanks in advance

get winterboard from cydia, then download theme(s) from cydia and activate them in winterboard.

Im not just directing this towards you but everybody that thinks these are actually releasing(this summer atleast)
the new iphone is gonna have a new BACK but that is it... that is the last confirmed news ive heard about the new iphones physical features

- Choose an Icon (should be a .PNG) and name it the same as the icons from your desktop
- Make a Folder (Name it whatever you want) ..now open it.. then..
- Make another folder ( Name it " Icons " )
- Place your " custom " icons there
- Drag and drop your folder to var/stash/themes
- Go to WinterBoard, tick the folder you created..
I use iPhonebrowser btw..

Need some help...
When I tap my phone icon, it goes to the dialer and from there it doesnt let me do anything. I try to tap contacts or recents and it just stays on the dialer.
Then after about 5 seconds it goes back to the home screen. Should I restore it?
