I’m still trying to figure this out… so the GOP’s stance is that the January 6th mob, that was incited by Trump and friends is an inside job? Wasn’t trump in office during this time?

And if it’s the opposition that was setting this up, their goal was to incite violence in an attempt to keep their adversary (trump) in office?

I just don’t get the logic in this.

NGL, this made me uncomfortable. Looks like a straight to streaming release would be safer...

feels like the DMZ comic meets the stand, but you know what maybe people need to really consider is how horrible this would actually play out to take a step back on the rhetoric. A violent coup would only lead to civilians deaths and would need the U.S. government to act with child gloves to the whole thing to not just blow all the confederates up immediately.

Flipside I say that as a rational adult unfortunately some people might be inspired by this to commit acts of violence because they were prone to it anyway.

American allies can not allow the United States (or Russia) to become failed states. Any “civil war” would be ended quickly.
The US falling into a civil war would be schadenfreude for many nations, especially those that were on the receiving end of American democracy. The only reason they wouldn't actually contribute to the internal disarray is the potential threat of retaliation.

One can always trust the right to take away rights.

Schadenfreude is one thing, allowing enough nuclear arms to destroy the world dozens of times over to become insecure is quite another.

After Yeltzin rolled in his tank, the international intelligence community worked like crazy to track the old Soviet arsenal. My understanding is that there was quite a bit of unofficial help to the new government to secure it.

I’m not saying that the standing government would get bailed out, just that the international community would do their best to make sure the conflict was short lived and the resolution decisive.

Said a lil while back that she sees her light dimming. Between now and the election she’s going to come out and say some of the wildest **** the Internet has ever produced.

  The funniest people are those who are unintentionally funny.

It’s sad ‘cause I think she believes it. Never mind him not being able to share his favorite bible verses, the multiple divorces and paying porn stars. If he said God literally called his phone once a week to discuss moving America forward, she would believe it. While funny, I think it’s sad.

Movie was inevitable because so many people would love for this to happen.

Yeah…they would be put down before it was a real thing, but it may inspire some who have dreams about this to spend their life savings on ammunition and go do stupid things.

The US has always been committed to non-proliferation of atomic weapons because they have the upper hand. I don't know if the calculus is the same for Russia or China. I will admit that my view that their commitment to non-proliferation is lower is heavily influenced by the way they are presented in most of the media I consume. They could be more rational than I think, but I don't read/speak/understand Russian or Chinese to verify.

@aepps20 are you car pooling with Whitlock or J.Isaac? See you this weekend fam! :pimp:

Wow this is like Survivor Series 1990 and Coachella x1000!!! 🔥 🔥 🔥 🔥

I don’t trust anyone with them, including the US. As few players as possible is the best, I think…. Ideally none.
