The Cy-Fair ISD Board of Trustees voted in May to remove content from state-approved textbooks involving vaccines, cultural diversity, climate change, depopulation and several other topics they considered controversial.

Democratic State Rep. Jon Rosenthal was among the speakers who told the board it should reverse its vote, which he called an irresponsible decision to remove content from state-approved science books without public comment or prior notice.

“As a science-based career professional and a state rep who values and supports public education I’m appalled,” said Rosenthal. “As far as I know none of our board members has a background in science professionally or is a science teacher and yet five of you voted with trustee Blasingame."

Banning uncomfortable but factual information is what Republicans do.

It’s a well known fact that reality has a liberal bias.

As hilarious as this kind of is, it's also kind of not. I realize sometimes that whole operation runs on confidence. So that if he looks like a strong man, if he looks like he's untouchable, that even with everything happening that he's still leading in the polls, that's helpful to his cause.

But on the other hand, this is music to his and Fox's ears because the "the end is near....they're trying to wipe us out" mentality is how a lot of people from [redacted country] justify their barbarism. And a lot of people in the US justify their racism by acting like anything other than Trump and white people are going to be enslaved next year in America.

So this will help him fundraise (read: grift) and also get the kooks who they already had voting for them, to evangelize to family members and friends and others, and the next step is probably one-off violence or corruption because of these supposed poll numbers.

Sucks that it's like this, but when you're evil and without morals, you can take advantage of a lot of things.

Yeah, that’s a good point - they’re not giving up and there’s a good chance that’s a tactical decision to encourage undecided Trump voters. You’d definitely not want to give the impression that it’s in the bag because obviously less people would vote.
