***Official Political Discussion Thread***

In NYC, if you tell anyone that crime is down they'll laugh at you. I'd assume that's the same in any big city

I'll say it again. Keeping the unemployment rate this low deserves praise. But I don't know if that's because there are way more remote jobs now than ever before.

I dont understand schumer and jeffries and all these morons calling on Biden to drop out. Its pathetic and hands the election to trump.

Again, this is getting to hopeless levels. Biden deserves much better than this. Im really at a loss

This country right now has ZERO chance they would vote a black woman like kamala in. Never. So I dont even get that notion. Idc what polls say. I really dont get any of this except that they want a guaranteed loss for whatever reason.

White women" are just not a strong identity group like that.

There was never going to be a situation where White women were going to vote for Hillary like black Americans voted for the first black president.

Plus it's not like she's a generic woman, she's literally public enemy number 1 for like 30 years in conservative media.

People know who Hilary is. Many people have no idea who Kamala is really she has lots of room to pursuade new voters to her side.

I don't think white women's lack of support for Hillary has any relevance to Kamala's odds at the top of the ticket.

I don't have any strong polling evidence, just lifelong observance that they hate us, and especially black women. Half of the country just about agreed to burn down the country after the first black male president-- Black female cop with iffy political instincts makes me kinda nervous. If independents are iffy on not just your first, but your alternative candidate-- might be a really big deficit to come back from.

A lot of folks don't know Kamala and after the rights negative campaign about her, they'll probably only know that much

Dems openly advocating for him to drop out while at same time not also openly advocating who they want to replace him with or what the plan is after hypothetically replacing him is clout chasing behavior to me.

It’s not so much the idea of suggesting he step down itself. But if you’re going to openly suggest that an incumbent President that’s in the same politicial party as you step down. Then you should be just as willing to say what the plan is after that without anyone having to ask you.

This is what I've been saying all along. Who do you want to replace? Don't suggest anything if you don't have a solution and just respond back saying "it'll be tough discussions as to who will be put on the ticket".

Why would you subject yourself to this?

The comments are expected and hilarious

Biden has done great and I will stand by him, but I think he might need to do some soul searching with the downtime he will now have.

He is starting to be called out by other prominent Dems, the RNC convention is a train wreck and doing nothing do sway those who may be on the fence, but the fact that bidens abilities is still at the forefront may be a problem. I wouldn’t want to take the chance of him going into the DNC and giving a speech that might be similar to the debate, that would be the lasting impression with the election being not too far from that.

It’s a tough decision, I wouldn’t want to make, but at this stage it seems like it might have to happen. People who vote for Biden aren’t going to not vote for whoever replaces him, but some might stay home because they have the impression Trump will win no matter what.

2022? Probably idiots choosing the wrong majors.

Zoom out. Its the lowest its been in decades still.

Choosing the wrong majors?? But i thought the unemployment rate was down???The unemployment rate has gone up since 2022 yet they keep bragging about the unemployment rate decreasing..

It doesnt matter that its up 0.5% since 2022. That tick doesn't affect the economy or stock market one bit.

All you need to know is that its at very healthy levels currently. Umemployment claims aren't up much either.

Only because the media chooses to amplify the few things they can blame Biden on that they know people will respond to at an emotional level.

Biden's presidency wasn't perfect; there are legitimate arguments to be made about how he underestimated the partiality of the Supreme Court. On Gaza, he could have been a lot less trusting of Bibi and his government. However, by and large, at home and abroad, you can point to many aspects of his presidency where he brought much needed stability, and his plan is to do more than that in his second term.

Presenting the Trump and Biden programs to the American public would be a lot fairer than harping on about Biden's age. We've had demented presidents; we've had disabled presidents. The policies may have been terrible, but it wasn't anything we couldn't address and/or fix. The country didn't implode. Trump's different: he is willing to gamble American stability at home and abroad, and the media is not talking enough about this. These journalists' butts are on the line, and they are still trying to create, out of thin air, a balance between Trump's plan and Biden's age.

It's stupid. How did we go from sending people on the Moon with the computing power of a TI-89 to this nonsense?

Na , cant brag about the unemployment rate being the lowest it’s been in 40 years even though it’s rising in the past 2 years.

The pandemoc ENDED. Thats why the unemployment rate was decreased

I like to look at the big picture. As long as its under 5% we're gucci.
It has been trending up for 2 years and continues to go up. Unemployment was highest in 20 years during pandemic. People went back to work after the pandemic and unemployment rate decreased. Biden cant take credit for a natural cause of events esp when it continues to rise.

America really going end up like:
  1. USFL
  2. Atlantic city
  3. Multiple hotels/casinos
  4. Some charities
  5. Trump airline
  6. Trump steaks
  7. Trumo network
  8. Trump vodka
  9. Trump, the game
  10. Trump mortgage
  11. Trump university
  12. Trump ice
  13. Tour de trump
  14. Trumped! (A radio show)
  15. Gotrump.com

Your commitment to ignorance is remarkable.

The tea party certainly wanted to hang the black part of him before he was even sworn in, which was the whole body.
I mean he is mixed race, its. Its my fault you want him to be more of one or the other? have you seen his parents?
