It’s pretty simple, you can get a true and lasting peace based on a few major concessions.

From Palestinians, it would be that any Jewish person in the Southern Levant can stay and will have guaranteed equal rights.

From Jews, reparations for Palestinians (paid in either land or money, with the US, UK, and Germany being responsible for paying) and any end to separate legal systems and restrictions on Palestinian movement.

A lot of Jews will leave if they don’t get special privileges so any land or homes they leave behind would be given back to Palestinians who lost it in the Nabks or after. Also any Jew who leaves should get monetary compensation and a fast track to citizenship in whichever country they settle in.

I’d imagine a majority of Jews would stay, the way most whites stayed in South Africa after 1994.

In short, any Jew who wants to stay will be unharmed and will be equal citizens in a new multiethnic Levantine state. Palestinians will get social, legal, political, and economic parity with their Jewish neighbors.

May we, the people of Earth, undo the damage caused by the British Empire, one country at a time.
That sounds nice and all but I think that’s basically fanfiction.
Israel’s government wants the Palestinian people wiped off the map.

On the other side, Hamas leadership figures don’t care about Palestinian civilians either.
They live a life of luxury away from the conflict while welcoming Palestinian deaths because it will help with recruitment. One of them explicitly told the press that he “thanked god” that Israel killed 3 of his own sons, so they could be “bestowed the honor of martyrdom.”

Obviously there is gonna be at least some some degree of support for the actions of both parties’ respective populations.

A subsection of both populations want to kill eachother so let’s…put them all together in a one state solution?

There would be an astronomical wealth gap between the two groups, …
What would prevent Israeli’s from exploiting the wealth disparity to again work towards a de facto apartheid state?
Likewise with the hypothetical form of government.

Given the very lengthy history of this conflict and especially its current state, I just don’t see how a one state solution would even be agreed upon, much less work.

a new multiethnic Levantine state
This just doesn't happen overnight, especially after 80 years of bitter conflict. Politically, it starts with the establishment of two independent states. Culturally, it demands a period of rebuilding trust between Palestinians and Israelis. Before they can merge into a single state, each people has to prove to the other that they can respect their right of existence and self-governance. Forcing the creation of a single state outside these parameters would be a recipe for disaster.

I guess this is Fox screaming at Taylor with their equivalent of "shut up and dribble"? Channel of dumb ****s, all of them (except Jessica. She's cool and stands these dumbasses up & brings receipts).

That channel is SO TERRIFIED of her and what she can do and how many women (and men) will follow up with what Taylor suggests.

"a new multiethnic Levantine state"

Is something only Western outsiders want. Palestinians don't want it, Israeli's don't want it.

Yall sound like george w bush thinking Iraq would turn into america once they got western democracy imposed on them.

How can there be peace when being a martyr and jihad are taught to children as being a religious commandment?

There was a woman in an interview that said she has 5+ kids so she can sacrifice 3 of them to the cause. This does not lead to peace.

These folks have created an atmosphere where politics comes up so much. You'll be minding your own business then out of nowhere a slow trickle of maga will start running with nothing to do with anything going on. So much that I wish they'd shut up and we could at least go back to pre-Trump era where it wasn't a huge part of people's personality. Now the moment they get any pushback from the environment they created, everyone else needs to shut up and dribble.
