***Official Political Discussion Thread***

The 2005 tax return showed really nothing but how people with money can skate tax laws on successs and mostly act as if failures don't exist.

But if Trump or someone is his camp did leak these returns for the positive PR, they picked the best year they had to leak. If every year was like 2005, there likely would have been a massive dump of multiple years. By only giving up 2005, it makes you say "Why only 2005, what's in 2000-2004 and 2006-2016?"

So true

Why is he tweeting about Snoop Dog?

Agreed that it's inappropriate from Snoop but jail?

Pretty sure these folks didn't go to jail

A new rap video from Snoop Dogg has stirred controversy with its mock execution of a clown dressed as President Donald Trump.

The video for "Lavender" (Nightfall Remix) ft. Kaytranada & Snoop Dogg dropped this weekend and features the rapper and a cast of clowns, including one played by actor Michael Rapaport.
The single is a remix of a track by BADBADNOTGOOD and Kaytranada.

Snoop's video takes on hot button issues including police shootings.

But the most controversial aspect of it is a clown dubbed "Ronald Klump."

In a mock breaking news clip, Klump is seen at a "Clown House" press conference where the TV news crawl reads "Ronald Klump wants to deport all doggs."

Later, Snoop Dogg is seen firing a fake pistol at Klump as he stands with his hands raised.

The Klump character also appears at the end of the video, in chains.

CNN has reached out to reps for Snoop Dogg for comment.

At least one member of Congress is not thrilled about the rapper's creativity.

Senator Marco Rubio made headlines during his run for the presidency when he revealed he was a lover of west coast hip hop.

But the politician told TMZ Snoop Dogg shouldn't have taken aim at Trump in the video.

"We've had presidents assassinated before in this country, so anything like that is something people should be really careful about," Rubio said. "I think people can disagree on policy, but we've got to be careful about that kind of thing because the wrong person sees that and gets the wrong idea and you could have a real problem."

The rapper told Billboard  he has several issues with the new president -- everything from his election to the proposed travel ban.

"It's a lot of clown s*** going on that we could just sit and talk on the phone all day about, but it's a few issues that we really wanted to lock into [for the video] like police, the president and just life in general," Snoop said.

He added that he didn't make the four and a half minute long video, which was directed by Jesse Wellens and James DeFina, to elicit a reaction from either Trump or his critics.

"I just put it out because I feel like it's something that's missing," he said. "Any time I drop something, I'm trying to fill in a void."

CNN has reached out to the White House for comment.

I dont know why people wanna see his taxes.
If he doing dirt, he is not going to do it in his name

My millionaire uncle does stuff he cant "legally"( company rules) in my moms name.

"got everything in my mama name"

The question is why won't he release them? I get where you're coming from, but there's a reason he won't willingly be completely transparent. And I'm guessing it isn't because the outcome would be a positive for him.

If he had nothing to hide and all the dirt was in someone else's name, why the secrecy?

And so, the finger pointing begins:

http://www.cnbc.com/2017/03/15/trump-helped-write-obamacare-replacement-bill-speaker-ryan-says.html

You wrote it, you own it.

House Speaker Paul Ryan said Wednesday that President Donald Trump and a Senate committee helped write the House's embattled replacement plan for Obamacare.

And the Wisconsin Republican insisted that "major components" of that bill will stay in place.

So I see that Sessions compared weed to heroin today...gives a window into how this regime is gonna be cracking down on states who legalized or partially legalized it meaning the private prison business is gonna keep on booming :{

Wouldn't be surprised one bit if agent Orange told him to go after weed hard after he saw the Snoop video :lol

Need Snoop to hop on the FDT remix

given what seems to be the accepted popular criticism of him, that he is this grandiose, self centered, narcissist who creates his own reality, the extent to which he believes is still maybe in question (is it all act of manipulation, or does actually believe in things like 'fake news'); it could just be that releasing the his tax returns will expose that he doesn't nearly have the business acumen/success or the personal wealth he claims? which would diminish him in all around, to himself, the people, and probably even his future business interests

President Trump has nominated another Goldman Sachs executive to a senior role, marking the fifth former or current Goldman employee to join the new administration.

James Donovan, a Goldman Sachs managing director, will serve as deputy Treasury secretary, the White House announced  on Tuesday.

Donovan, who The Washington Post reported  previously backed Mitt Romney's and Jeb Bush’s presidential campaigns, is expected to work on Trump's domestic policy agenda.

Since the election, Trump has selected two current and two former Goldman Sachs executives for senior administration posts.
Treasury Secretary Steven Mnuchin, to whom Donovan will report in his post, and White House chief strategist Stephen Bannon are both former Goldman executives.
Gary Cohn, who was Goldman chief operating officer, now serves as director of the White House National Economic Council. Trump picked Goldman’s head of impact investing, Dina Powell, to be the White House senior counselor for economic initiatives.

Trump was critical of Goldman Sachs during his campaign and quick to connect his opponents to Wall Street.

"I know the guys at Goldman Sachs. They have total, total control over him,” Trump said of Sen. Ted Cruz  (R-Texas) at a rally in South Carolina last year. "Just like they have total control over Hillary Clinton.”

Completely idiotic. Talk about uninformed.

Doesn't matter though. Weed will be legal everywhere eventually. I'm just glad I live in MA. Cheers.

Word :lol

I agree with the last point but things are definitely gonna be takng a step back under this regime. Sessions has made it known that he'll be enforcing federal law and cracking down on those states that legalized.

So much for the party of states rights though :lol

Trump the businessman HAS to see the potential in MJ.

Joe Rogan said something like..."I bet DT will be all for MJ. He probably smokes. He probably got baked one day, looked in the mirror at his hair and was like "what the f**k?""

Sen. Schiff, ranking democrat on the intelligence committee, says he can no longer share former DNI Clapper's conclusion that there was no evidence of Russian collusion

Clapper statement on Meet The Press he was referring to:

"Not to my knowledge," Clapper said, based on the information he had before his time in the position ended.

"We did not include anything in our report … that had any reflect of collusion between members of the Trump campaign and the Russians. There was no evidence of that included in our report," he said. "We had no evidence of such collusion."

Imposing a five-year lobbying ban for White House officials and a lifetime ban on lobbying on behalf of foreign governments.

What the? wasn't Flynn lobbying on behalf of Turkey?

Correct, although he only registered as a foreign agent after he got fired so I doubt they'll apply that to him :lol

Question 14

"Imposing a five-year lobbying ban for White House officials and a lifetime ban on lobbying on behalf of foreign governments."

Trump has said individuals who want to aid him in his quest to "Make America Great Again" should focus on the jobs they will be doing to help the American people, and not thinking about the future income they could rake in by peddling their influence after serving in government.
