I thought the white house found out about the appointment after it happened though [emoji]129300[/emoji]

Jeff Sessions been recused himself, it wasn't his call to make.

You said Trump appointed him though. Didn't the Deputy AG appoint Mueller? [emoji]128064[/emoji]

and gee wiz, who retained Rosenstien as deputy AG?

You gotta put in your hip hop brain this is not the sopranos or any other Mafia show we have here. Government officials are loyal to the laws of the land first and last.

political appointments are political appointments, or we forgetting da sally yates going out on a blaze of glory for Obama & da Democrats?

She got fired because she was asked and refused to defend an EO she had no input in and which was not defensible in court. That she made the right choice was confirmed by the courts when they struck down Trump's nonsense.

Logic my dude, learn it and use it.

Rod Rosenstein's revenge

Last week, Rod Rosenstein was the toast of the White House. Tonight, he went against President Trump's wishes and took the Russia probe to a new level.

The initial party line on James Comey's firing: Trump had accepted the recommendation of his deputy attorney general, a "universally respected" and apolitical figure. Rosenstein, a longtime Department of Justice official, was reportedly infuriated that Trump's decision had been pinned on him.
Eight days after Comey's ouster: Rosenstein took the dramatic step of naming former FBI director Robert Mueller special counsel in the Russia probe, tasked with investigating ties between Trump campaign associates and the Kremlin.
Trump was reportedly not informed until after Rosenstein signed the order, less than an hour before the public announcement. Some media organizations received the news around the same time.
Why it matters: The White House can hardly attack Rosenstein's decision. After all, they spent 24+ hours arguing that his judgment was above reproach.

A key point: Mueller's investigation falls under the DOJ umbrella, but because Attorney General Jeff Sessions has recused himself, he will be reporting to Rosenstein. Mueller is nobody's lackey, and Rosenstein emphatically proved his independence from the White House tonight. Trump may therefore be helpless to steer the investigation.

Rosenstein's redemption: Whether it was his intention or not, Rosenstein has exacted revenge over how the Comey firing played out.

And what if the investigation does bring results and you end up being wrong? What then? Will you quit NT then? After all, being right about the election seems to give you supreme authority and expertise on every topic so I'm assuming if you're proven wrong you will refrain from ever posting again as everything you post will be wrong, according to your own logic.
Have you thought of that? Maybe you'll have to admit to being wrong, something you have never done and seem incapable of doing.
For the record, and I'm not trying to insult you, you can't grow wiser and learn from your mistakes if you refuse to even acknowledge ever being wrong. It's a very bad habit. You're handicapping your intellectual growth by refusing to ever acknowledge being wrong and that will continue until you make an effort to change your attitude. No insults, I'm giving you some genuine advice.

A smart man covers his bases, hence why I always gave Trump a decent chance of winning the election from early 2016. And it's always possible the Russia investigation doesn't yield the suspected results.
You on the other hand place all your bets on a single outcome and deny every single other outcome you don't like. Not exactly a good strategy.

Jefferson getting no love this week

Got lost in this week's storm of foolishness, but the opinion piece Rand Paul wrote in CNN about KKK Sessions decision was really good.

*Yeah, I know Rand Paul is still trash, just acknowledging something positive where it can be found*
