***Official Political Discussion Thread***

Hold up I just read that the magabomber is Native American...

Can we put an end to any calls for political discourse, looking at both sides, etc?

One side clearly and repeatedly is wrong. They go on the attack, blaming immigrants, Iran, and minorities for everything, they fearmonger against anyone who isn't a WASP, and they try to equate liberals to Nazis. Predictably, when shown to be wrong, they revert to some "both sides are the same" and "I want to have reasonable discussion" bull****.

I'm done with them. They don't deserve any of our time or efforts. If you're not voting for and supporting Democrats in 2018, you are a racist and you are a bigot and you are an idiot, no question, no doubt.

There was some dude who was spitting that real **** this morning on NPR about how the media-that-is-not-fox-news needs to quit parroting every word that comes out of the Bigot's mouth. It was the show before The 1A (around 10:30 am).

Specifically, it was about the story that Trump assured his minions that Congress would pass a middle class tax cut bill before the midterms and the refugee caravan.

Dude was right to point out that there is a habit of treating the misinformation coming from the WH as if it had some redeeming value instead of treating it like another propagandist attack, which results in debates being shaped according to the terms of the Right. We're talking about the caravan of 1000 while border patrol apprehended 150k people this year, in the overall context of a lower total number of illegal entries than many years before. We are talking about a new tax cut bill that legislators are not even present to vote on and that will never happen before the midterms because the GOP internally acknowledges that we all know where the money from the previous tax cuts went.

The media needs to realize that they are no longer neutral observers; whether they like it or not, they are peons in this game, and they better adapt.

If people/Americans/deplorables weren’t so stupid and lacking in critical thinking they wouldn’t have to, but alas here we are. I’m 100% all in on the media saying eff it, this guy isn’t getting anymore coverage of his idiocy.
