I only had a vague understanding of the QAnon nonsense but it's pretty disturbing what those cultists are hoping for. In a concept they describe as "the storm", they don't just want to see Trump's political opponents arrested, they explicitly want them executed.

According to Trump though, they're just very fine people that love their country and he appreciates their support.

As soon as that went away, picks started spiking like crazy, insurers pulled out of regions, so it left others with the option to jack up prices further.

If the ACA was passed in its original proposal, with the public option, nationwide marketplaces, 55 Medicare sign up, bigger income assistance, and didn't get weakened by the GOP, it would be a an even bigger success than it is.

Famb the ACA was good policy with good intentions. Obama himself said if he could start from scratch, he would just do single payer, but we were not starting from scratch. ACA has its shortcomings but those were a combination of trying to build a plan a centrist would accept, and Republicans constant attacks.

Like if it was so bad, then why did Bernie vote for it?

Yeah personal experience under the ACA before/after the transition while unemployed --poor folks didn't pay the tax penalty, also qualified for an extra cash benefit applied to the cost so you could literally have the best available gold plans for around 200 a month, which is more than most people use because the silver ones were ample and only cost me about 100 a month after the benefit and mirrored the previous plan I had with an employer. Both those tiers had a higher level of benefits and service than what would be available normally to the poor. It was solid till it was sabotaged by Trump and the GOP still without a replacement. Soon after he took office the options were way less, and the worst ones with basically no benefit, ones you would get just to avoid the penalty were now in that 600 range.

People speaking on it from the outside have no idea how many lives that saved even though brief.

Facts AOC‘a first day was her leading a protest in Pelosi’s office. Pelosi has handled AOC and the squad with kid gloves and it’s paying off as they become better congresswomen instead of just activist who have been elected.

AOC generally speaks highly of Pelosi. Nancy is great at her job.

AOC and other might get frustrated that centrist win over progressive in policy battles in the House, but that has nothing to do with Pelosi really. Pelosi been handing out the coddling and shade equally among the entire coalition.
