***Official Political Discussion Thread***

Don't know anyone who was enthusiastic about voting for Hillary aside from dedicated democrats who would be enthusiastic about a piece of turd running for president if it wore blue. Trump actually had passionate supporters.

They just chose a blatant racist to run this country. If that don't wake you up nothing will. This is some 1920's ****.

Guess this is one silver lining, there's no denying the state of the country anymore . People have been forced to become woke now

People can try to stay sleep as longs they wish, that sunlight will wake you up eventually.

Rise and shine.

How remarkable that eight years of "hope", eight years of "change" has now been rendered a fascade in a single day. History being made right in front of our eyes, for all the wrong reasons.

US ran out of hope and is short on change.

A new chapter begins...with the drainage of the swamp

As someone who's watching from outside, can you guys shine some light on this.

Nearly every country outside of America thinks Trump is a complete joke and incompetent, yet somehow in the States it's the polar opposite (for half the population at least). Does this really boil down to contrast in upbringing, geographic and environmental factors and a unique political landscape? It's just always fascinating how politics in America is viewed so differently than most of the Western countries. I don't believe for a second that everyone who voted for Trump are racists, misogynistic and xenophobic, but what is the fundamental difference in how they view America and how the rest of the world views it?

Believe it. There's no other way of putting it.
