The only CEOs who can talk like this without irony are those who pump and dump and those who don't understand the products their companies make.

It doesnt matter how much of a genius you are, the complexity of producing the goods and services we consume today cannot be handled by a one-man operation. Capital needs employees.

energy is booming here. Been in a refinery for a couple weeks. All the Texas, Mississippi and Louisiana oil boys are up so idk about it down there.

We got a massive solar field going up on the refinery too that will power it and sell the excess to excel.

All union labor, if you aren’t union you can’t come in. 🙅‍♀️🙅‍♀️🙅‍♀️

Edit I just saw it was 🧟 Mitch tweeting that, or his keeper more than likely.

I hate people who don’t want multi family housing. I got into a huge argument when I was at a friends BBQ in LI this past June with their friends and family who live there.

At the end I asked them to prove to me how multi family housing increases crime and how does potentially any immigrants moving does the same thing. They eventually gave up after their talking points ran out.

**** their neighborhood has had more house burglaries and car theft than I have ever heard in my 30 years living my old neighborhood in Brooklyn and Queens. In just the 2 years they have lived there for.

The road to truly great urbanism in America is paved with thick walls and 4 bedroom apartments. As long as single family homes are seen as the universal aspiration for any family that has its first child and apartments are seen as temporary housing for singles, we won't get to where we want to be in terms of sustainable city planning.

Briahna Joke Grift, once again, show us who she really is.

the all time great leftists were all inductive. Karl Marx developed his theories by observing present conditions in the Rhineland and compared them to past material conditions and past material relations in the Rhineland. Lenin read Marx but he understood that socialism in a semi industrialized country required different methods to implement compared to Marx's prescription of workings people simply taking over their factories in the most industrialized parts of the world. Mao Ze Tung, saw that landless peasants of the South of China had been alienated from the basis of agricultural production, land, and were largely proletarian despite having never lived in cities. In the US, there is a wealth of literature from non white Marxists who observed the dynamic that arises from living in a country who euro-settler proletariat tends to aligns more closely with the euro-settler ruling class instead of fellow workers who happen to be non white.

BJG is not inductive. She's frozen in 2020. It may be a low bar to clear but Joe Biden has been the most left leaning president in my lifetime. Biden won over a lot of media figures on the left, including Kyle Kulanski who hated Biden back in 2020. Lets take some lower case w's when we get them. Biden is getting pretty similar results as a Sanders administration would have. The fact that this is the best that can be done should radicalize one further against the current system and not the blame the current president who is doing about the best one can in this current system.

Some of the older, white, homeowners who flipped from Trump to Biden, will likely flip back to Trump in 2024. For those people, prompt and cheap service at their suburban fast food spots is more important than anything else. If members of the Sanders coalition, younger people and people who are neither white nor black, can make up for that loss and we help to deliver expanded Democratic majorities, we'll get more than we are getting now. Is that enough to meet the moment? No, but it gives the left more breathing room to build and organize in a manner that will allow us to make even more direct demands upon capital and local government and that building and that organizing will lead to even more power in the national government.

We know who we hate but we should also do better at understanding who we should give tentative support. organizing voters for Biden in 2024, is a favorable move for the left, as far as I can see with the data available to me right now.

Bet it was a sativa vape too.

I first read it as "salvia" and was about to say that, she's never done an ethneogen in her life, not even the 15 minutes of trip tourism that salvia gives you.

She definitely smokes a highly synthesized version of the cannabis that makes one paranoid. It is like the bit in the onion movie where a college freshman's ideal of world leaders smoking pot becomes true and within hours those world leaders argue over whose Central Asian country grows the strongest weed and they end up back, on a war footing. Reactionaries in 2023, love themselves some weed.

This is why I am a communist.

The gap between utterances and the highly idealized economics that I was taught in school, were so vast, that I could not help but to seek out alternate explanations about how the world actually worked.

This is why I mostly read the FT and the Economist magazine. I want to know what my enemies are thinking.

I’ve often wondered how she got elected here in Colorado… but after reading that headline, she seems like a normal resident here

She only won re-election by 500 votes, in a slam dunk Red district. She's done next cycle.
