Ah I forgot about Wolf Creek. Decent movie, had some suspense. The gore wasn't held back.

And speaking of disturbing movies, 'Salo, or the 120 Days of Sodom' is something everyone should see once. Once you watch that you'll be able to watch anything.

I hope I haven't oversold it. It's not an all-time great movie or anything, but it is suspenseful, pretty original and I think there are a ton of different theories/interpretations, at the least. Hope you guys like it as much as I did.

I'm mad, I wasn't able to catch it. And I checked SHO for the future and I don't see it.

Yea, a lot of the charm for me was that NT that put me onto Triangle last year, a few weeks after they put me onto A Serbian Film.

For the movie...there are scenes and images you just won't forget. Once you think you get the mechanisms of it, figured out how things are gonna work so you can just kick back and ride it down, you find that it's just too clever. You don't even realize you missed a twist until you're leaning forward throwing that weebey face wondering when you lost a grip on what you understood. (kinda but not really spoiler: for me it's like a horror Inception mixed with Memento on a small budget they make the most outta)

My biggest knock on the movie is the really forgettable and ignore-able title and that NT photoshop movie poster. Deep cover good flick.

This portion was supposed to go with that last post, but like I said, CPU issues.  Damn it.

I've updated everything I could find, I've been having massive CPU issues here at work lately.  Not even sure this post will go thru.

Why?  What makes Thor sooooo much better?  I went over this with Prime yesterday, and he brought up the dialogue, but imo GL isn't all that different.  The stuff where he goes into Senestro's joint with those old dudes, and starts tellin them to face their fears, and that's how they will overcome, and that's what makes them stronger than evil etc etc, is no different than the "lessons" Thor learned while on Earth as a normal person.
Both are full of spacey type stuff that you have to ignore as a viewer.  Both had their own brand of sly humor, but nothing over the top.  So really, how is it all that much better?
Is Thor better overall?  Sure, probably, but as I said to him, it's not like we're talkin The Dark Knight vs Fantastic Four here, these two are neck and neck imo.  But overall, people LOVED Thor, and @#$% all over Green Lantern, I just don't get why.

I got Triangle on DVR last night, I'll get to either that or Columbiana tonight.

With all the ones mentioned by me, Nos, and Kev, should we put some sort of list together of all of the best/most needed to be watched?  Top 25 or something, a starters guide for the guys sayin they haven't entered the genre much yet?  I'd place that list in the TOC of we come up with a definitive one.

I like that idea CP or at the least just add these past couple of pages to the Table of Contents as horror discussion or something.
I've got The Exorcist and Blair Witch Project on DVD plus Triangle and Eden Lake on the DVR; wanna track down a couple of the others mentioned so I could have some late night horror lineup leading up to Halloween.
