Pokemon Go (ios and android) - TEAM ROCKET

So basically it's pointless for me to do anything at a gym until level 12? I'm only level 5, should I just focus on catching until I get higher?
if you got a ton of potions and revives, and can beat at least one guy in an opponents gym, then you can get xp, better than just throwing it away. But my highest cp Pokémon I caught, didn't even level it yet. I'm just hoarding stardust right now. View media item 2101124Keep in mind, I'm a passive player who only hunts late at night.

People be so thirsty to evolve them eevees they do it to soon and end up with a poor whatever and by poor I mean anything under 1k

I won't be touching my eevees until I can get them up to about 500ish

Also won't do the xp farm until I'm at the 250 limit. I really believe they will put a stop to it soon gone have dudes skipping levels to fast (on the lower end anyways)

Down town Chicago was crazy

So should I be powering up my Mons all the way before evolving them? Does that result in a more powerful evolution?

This is my last try to help... this keeps getting downvoted, so I'm guessing some higher level players don't want others to know this (or they don't like their gyms being taken)
I'll make it really brief:
Watch the yellow screen flash!!! That's it. Forget everything else; ignore the animation, just watch for the flash, swipe to dodge, then quick attack. You will take no or very little damage.
The end. It's that easy.
Other notes:
The first time an opponent appears, it attacks twice. So dodge twice first: flash dodge flash dodge, then attack.
If the server glitches/lags, you can take damage
You can safely get in one quick attack before the next flash - sometimes you can get two (flash dodge, attack, attack, flash dodge, attack, attack...repeat).
You are vulnerable after using a special attack because you can't immediately dodge - don't use them unless you need to.
You're up against the clock. If your 800CP is against a 1400CP, you can avoid taking damage, but you may not be able to whittle down their health in time.
You can cut through Pokemon within +/- 200CP of your attacker like butter (without losing health)
You get a lot of xp at no cost for taking down high level gyms, and it's fun! (although it does take a while)
It is way more fun than spamming quick attack and it'll save you a TON of revive and health potions.
Bonus: you can really annoy the 'super-gyms' when you take them down by yourself!
Edit: To clarify, the safest/easiest way is to only attack once after dodging. Then wait for another flash and repeat. Like this: flash - dodge - attack (one tap)..... flash - dodge - attack (one tap)..... repeat After a while, you'll figure out where you can sneak in two taps before dodging and that you can dodge right or left.

I was doing something similar. I large with hitmonlee, but I was just following a pattern. Dodge twice, hit twice. Dodge twice, hit once. Glad to know there is a method, but the lag will get you eventually lol, it always does.

Tried it, much easier said than done for sure.

This guy just showed up to my pokestop near work. Lure was set. Took about 3 razz's and 3 great balls. Definitely the highest CP wild i've seen.

made a really dumb mistake a few days ago and accidentally transferred my CP 375 Eevee which I was trying to max out before evolving..the pokegods blessed me with a 466 Eevee yesterday right outside of my house, :lol

I hope you're not talking about the link posted above?

Do your candies double if you use the lucky egg?

I don't think it does but then again I never really paid too much attention. Usually when I use a lucky egg I am focused on leveling up.

I really wish I lived or worked in a dense area. There is absolutely nothing around me. Best chances of hitting a pokestop are on my commute to work.

Man ... I just beat a gym and when I was finish another dude was already in it. SMH

Two ?

When I evolve an Evee do I get the same CP to what was evolved or does it come with a different CP altogether?

Also to join a gym that has already occupied by my team to leave my pokemon, how do you do it?
