Can someone school me on HID's? Been wanting to put some HID's on my Civic also.

Basically, they run cooler/brighter/longer then stock or halogen lights. I use this website to check the bulb size to get (http://www.sylvania.com/C...ementGuide/default.htm), and I get the HID's from www.ddmtuning.com.

How's the installation process? Is it fairly easy?

The headlights are easy. Just take out the tire (depending on what side you are doing), and go through the tire wall (don't know the technical term), and you could change it through there.
For the fogs, I had to take off the front bumper (Really easy after the first time you do it), and change. All HID kids are basically plug and play, just take out the old lights, and replace them with the HID's. Just remember to put the ballists in a place where no water can get to them.

How much should this run me, Firestone is quoting it at around $700. I know I can and will find better.
Hellllls no. Dont know what kind of car you drive but im sure you can find a IM for waaay less. You dont have to be too mechanically inclined to swap it out either.

How old is it? I dont know what type of heaadlamps are on the civic, but it might not be as easy as people make it sound if you want it done right. HIDs gotta be aimed properly or youre gonna be blinding oncoming traffic and basically being a danger on the road.

Im replacing the entire housing on my impala ss soon and throwing in some bixenon projectors so Im readin up on it daily. Im plannin on using Morimoto H1 Projectors which I hsould be able to put it myself real easy, they probably fit yours too. Question is how much DIY are you up for?

These would look sick in red on a black car. Too bad it would probably be illegal

I have a Charger too. How much everything plus install run?

well for everything you see there.headlights and fogs its about 4 bills for the rings and if you send your lights in to the company that makes them they charger about 3 bills for install and i think another bill for fogs. all you have to after is hook it up to a 12v source and ground them

Still looks stupid.

You won't even feel a difference.

If you want more horsepower, save up your money for a power adder (supercharger, turbo depending on your car) or if you want to say N/A then save up for bolt ons.
