oh wow the boarders on them are pretty thick i thought they were regular sticker. maybe use some mark softer? are simp decals not precut?

Yeah they’re a little more noticeable than Bandai’s but I will use a softener once I have all the decals in place. I’ve put the softer in some areas and the decals look a lot better. It’s also a mixture of the standard decals the Deepstriker came with and caution signs from left over decals for my PG Unicorn.

Finally getting my room set up for more than just building

The two stacks on the left are built/inprogress kits. The kits on the right haven’t been built yet. Believe it or not the unbuilt side had about 15 more kits but I finally consolidated and got a hold of some rarer kits.

Thanks! It’s the Strike Freedom from Daban. They turned the metal build figure into a plastic model kit so it comes with everything the metal build figure came with and a gold electroplated Frame. It’s much more detailed then Bandai’s master grade. Here’s a pic of the complete model.

Info on the airbrush and compressor combo? Do you have an Iwata?

I remember buying one of those cheap bundles from Amazon, and it came with a Master brand airbrush and a general mini compressor from TCP global (I think)

No not an iwata. I got the combo on eBay actually Comes with 3 different types of brushes which is great because I use more than one kind of paint.

This was the last kit they produced before they got raided, had their ceo jailed, and all of their molds and inventory destroyed. There’s rumored to be less than 600 of them that made it out in the first shipment before they got shut down.

Awesome! The builds are generally more complex than a bandai build. Some minor QC issues here and there but nothing your that would keep you from building the kit

Finally finished putting together the main suit for the Daban Strike Freedom Metal Build Version. I’m blown away by how much detail this kit has. Blows the bandai version wayyyy out of the water.

i see you skipped on any of the CDMW upgrades for the G1 PK which isn't necessary but i do love the way he looks with them, i got them all except the hips

Well thanks to the advice of frenchbreadbuilds i picked up the decals, Mr Mark Setter & Mr Mark Softner(not sure if i did it perfect though ) for my custom Storm Shadow & SnakeEyes. WIP-completion

I gave SE 2 heads, painting and acetone for the heads was easy, but them decals, nothing i did made them lose the glossy look on the edges oh well I'm satisfied with the overall look of everything

Looks good to me!

Basic steps are cut the decal out. Dunk it in water anywhere from 5-30 seconds depending on the decal. While the decal is soaking apply mark setter to the surface you’re about to put the decal on. Pull the decal out of the water and slide it onto the surface you just prepped. Once it’s set in place brush some mark softer on it and let it adhere. Rinse wash and repeat. Looks like it’s going well for you!

Lots of good stuff happened these passed couple of days. Pulled the titans mark II i did months ago, stripped the sh*tty topcoat, panel lines and most of the garbage decals I put on it almost a year ago and started over. I found this new producer of super high quality water slide decals in korea that I started using and I'm super impressed with the results. I also started building my Hi Nu ver ka and i finally got a the godhand nippers. I have way too many black and dark navy blue kits that coming up that I dont want to deal with the horrible nubs on and these god hands are really what they hype says they are. sure you could get the job done with patience and a hobby knife (like i did with the MK II titans) but it takes entirely too long and you risk damaging the plastic. And the most exciting news I think is that i some how managed to find away to get my up and coming builders instagram account to get sponsored by a pretty big thrid party model kit supplier Gundam Model Center. Im not getting the kits for free but at a pretty massive discount. Which is great because bandai kits seem to be getting more and more expensive (or atleast the ones im going after are) so this lets me keep costs down pretty significantly and still be able to get third party kits.
