I have found the hard wood flooring that I'm gonna put in when the money, time and laziness matches up, and I've been lookin into light sights for the detolfs. As for combiners, the only decent ko autobot is the almost finished OS MT Defensor, the limbs have all been released but I'm waiting to see that vs GTs defensor before i decide, there has yet to be a good superion so he's also a no go and i stick to the 15" scale combiners

I do have the Toyworld Dinocombiner and Minibots combiner those are the only too "autobot" combiners i have

Well Nero Rex's right arm is a KO Nero Felisaber, idk how much the whole thing goes for now a days, but the quality of that ko is great maybe just a tad like one ratchet below mmc real one, Zeta just released the TW dinocombiner for cheaper with better connectors, there's a ton of ko warbatron but i caught a good deal for the real one so i passed, one day I'll get brave enough to paint him in modern day military vehicle colors which is all desert tan minus apaches are still black and space shuttles are white. There's OS ko of TW minibot combiner as well

i have actually built two "hg" bootleg kits before. and they hurt my fingers. i had to file some of the pegs so they fit. how was this build? what about daban kits. i see a lot of those here in bangkok

The thing about bootleg/third party kits is that quality is super inconsistent from brand to brand. One thing I’ll say is you probably won’t get anything of quality in something less than 1/100 scale. The Altron I just builtfrom super nova is on the higher end of the quality spectrum for bootlegs. To the point where it doesn’t affect the build at all. It’s based on a modified MG wing frame so the build wasn’t overly complicated. As for Daban, they’re a mixed bag. I’ve never built any of their non metal build kits which consists of mostly straight up knock of copies and some modified master grade stuff. The metal build version kits from Daban range from amazing to really tough depending on the kit. Some kits translate from metal to plastic really easily like the Strike freedom I built not too long ago, others don’t like the metal build Astray Gold Frame. They both look fantastic when done but gold frame was significantly harder due to the fitting issues that come with electro plated gold parts. I build every kit with one of the sr any way so I don’t have to spend hours sanding pegs and potentially breaking them, I just bore the holes progressively bigger. Great if you paint your kits and plan on disassembling them since paint makes everything tighter.

Since you’re someone who’s built a few kits, I’d recommend trying a super nova kit like the Heavy Arms Custom that just dropped today

Also really liking this new Slam Dunk Line. They did a Saitama as well that looks really nice and fits in much better scale with SH Figuarts DBZ figs too for those Goku v Saitama shots.

ok before i answer that i need to know a few things, what are you looking for in best, like what is your criteria?


there's a lot of options so i would suggest looking at this video and then tracking down the one that fits your style the best

still my opinion is that the best "Megatron" is this one

but i never like gun megs

This is probably the most anticipated third party gunpla kit of 2018. The supernova Heavy Arms Custom, I’ve been working on it on and off all week. Hoping to get it completed today/tomorrow if I have enough time after work. So far it beats the pbandai master grade version at ever corner.

Finished with the super nova heavyarms! By far the best heavy arms in 1/100 scale! It’s based on the master grade heavy arms with modification to the frame and all of the armor pieces. This is the closest a third party kit has come to building like an out box Bandai kit that I’ve experienced. Through in some comparison shots between the premium bandai version as well.

On the bandai version they were horrible stickers that peel off. They’re pieces of plastic on this one. Much needed improvement

Don’t mind me, just posting more gunpla lol
Added some decals to red frame and finally put it next to the gold frame I haven’t touched since building. They look amazing together. Gotta work on the decals for gold frame too.

Also started building the Gundam x aape Rx-78. Green plastic stresses so visibly and leaves nub marks so I’ve got to do a ton of sanding. Yes I make my own sanding stick because it’s a lot cheaper to do that than to buy them from hobby shops.

Picked up KFC Kingorilla, still need Kingzilla but he was soldout, he has a lot of great stuff gunpla, shfiguarts, lots of transformers, bandai . I'll post pick of my pickup later

He is way bigger than I thought he'd be, he's massive

The instruction booklet ^ and 3 sides of the box showing his 3 modes v

So the one pictured had 2 right thighs, had to take him back and exchange him, I now have a correct thigh, def excited to get the trex now though they're bigger than I prefer (damn "mp") they'll work out in my head canon until someone does chug ver. if that ever happens

Been working on the AAPE x Gundam RX-78 all week. Waterslides are taking for ever but they look so much better than the stickers. Paired it with my full armor gundam because they look pretty good next to eachother.
