"Racism is as American as baseball"

This country will never be cured of racism or discrimination, right? :smh:. I probably mean the world.

I have my own opinion about interracial marriages as it relates to the Black family. Not so much Black people marrying other marginalized people.

However, I understand why Black men and women seek outside of their culture.Too many factors.

Besides, as I get older, you realize the ideal and reason of love can’t be subjective by race.

Aren't these two statements kinda contradictory?

If love is the ultimate goal then shouldn't every race be on the table? Why would someone purposefully diminish that chance by excluding their own community? Your dating pool becomes much smaller.

Not meant to be contradictory. I see both side of the coin.

The last segment was a personal interjection/view point.

Regarding 2 of the couples that are featured in the picture above……everybody is free to love and be married to whoever they want to be.

That being said whenever folks start talking about “the first black this”…..”the first black that”……and then you look and you see Snow White or Jon Snow next to them it makes me think that THEY personally vetted this negro to make sure they won’t buck the system or cause any waves. Also, it helps keep the visual out there of the interracial couple that I think is being pushed by the powers that be.

Let me put something into perspective, especially regarding KBJ

Because of a number of reasons, the Supreme Court is now the most powerful government institution in the country.

Conservatives have a 6-3 majority on the court. They will probably have this majority for at minimum the next 15 years. Probably beyond that because it is very rare ideological flips happen. So it could be indefinitely if worse comes to worst.

Three of the judges of the 6 conservatives are far-right reactionaries. One dude actually gets mad and goes on rants if a lawyer suggests a white person acted out of racism.

KBJ is the most socially progressive justice ever. She will be one of the few voices speaking out on dissents while conservatives use made-up legal theories to rip apart most of the civil rights gains black people have made in the last 60 years. If you think I am lying, go Google what they did to the Voting Rights Act. Google the independent stat legislature doctrine to see how loony these folk are.

The two oldest dudes on the court are allies to white supremacy. The best chance we have to undo the damage is to hope they two can be replaced with people like KBJ.

With partisanship and gridlock, many of the laws the rights the courts will strip away will probably only be possible to get back through the court again.

KBJ is important to get on the court because we need as many progressive judges in power as we can get.

She was attacked this week with some of the vilest racist attacks that could be peddled through mainstream media. And people want to question what side she is on. The racist knows what side she is on, that is why they are attacking her.

But let us ignore all this information, that deals with the importance of dealing with the dynamics of racism in the American federal legal system, and take issue with the race of her damn husband.

If Mitch McConnell were to read some of the **** on social media regarding her family, he would be laughing his *** off.

I referenced this very fact a few months ago on this site to a few members and how it is linked to public housing, the lack of education, broken families, poverty and crime rates in the black community and was told I was wrong for "blaming the white man" and we as black should just "Do better and hold ourselves accountable"

I remember.
