"Racism is as American as baseball"

By 1986 the damage was already done. That clip right there is already 2-3 generations worth of damage.

How was it a choice on where you were to live? The government literally didn’t allow black people to live other places.

On top of that you have the zoning of schools and funding, public schools money comes from tax paying dollars if all the black kids live in a low socio economic area their school isn’t getting the resources to an equitable education.

So not only are we forced to live in poverty and removed from the opportunity to own homes, we also receive a worst education.

You have to zoom out and look at the big picture

Right in the Bill Cosby thread.

Thank the lord my grandparents were aware enough to invest smart pretty much as soon as they touched down early 80s. I’d be semi homeless right now if not.

I'm sorry but black folk gotta stop seeking white validation in order to feel that they "made it"

All this crying and gratefulness for massa's award is why 20 years later, there hasn't been another black actress to win it 🥴

^ to me, that’s why it’s sad as hell some of the things other black people are saying after this whole will smith thing

only a handful of black actors have won Oscars.. literally a couple have won multiple

and they talking about a singular incident like the whole history of the academy ain’t readily available

Another misconception by black folk.

Asians aren't like American white people unless they are whitewashed and weren't raised in an Asian speaking household. No such thing as "asian culture". Asians segregate amongst themselves for the most part. Chinese stick with Chinese. Koreans with Koreans. Japanese with Japanese etc. You're not going to see Vietnamese people with a close friend group of Japanese people or vice versa on average

In light of the terminology used by Barrett in the leaked opinion draft about a "domestic supply of infants:"

From the article:

"And I remember hearing this and just sort of being dumbfounded that they would sort of segregate — to use a loaded term — segregate these children by ethnic background before they were even in this world," Lantz says. "That's when I started realizing that, OK, being a parent to a child of a different ethnic background — this is gonna be some work. There's going to be a lot of work on our end in order to be successful parents and to get our child ready for this world."

Listen to the hotel comments.

1. How did Black people get dragged into that convo

2. Driver threatened to call the cops ; That part was funny because he called himself standing up against racism but he almost ended up doing one of the whitest things you could do. Call the police for petty reasons

3. Using the word, "Inappropriate" in a regular day to day setting.
