Ska its been going on long enough...time to lock....

Sessions was a beast the last 2 weeks of the season. He was flirting with records, and he's a third string PG..

Marcus Camby is not happy with the Nuggets for trading him to the Clippers.

We use the word "trading" loosely, as Denver got nothing in return for the talented big man. "Blindsided, distraught, disrespected. All those adjectives," Camby said. "I felt like I was the scapegoat for all the first-round exits (five since 2004). Definitely frustrated because I felt that I gave it my all." Camby will probably happily report to L.A. and then set his sights on making the Nuggets pay for shipping him out of town.

im officially no longer a nuggets fan. they dont want to win. i hope ai demands a trade, and that the organization is left for dead. their draft pick sucked, they kept george kyle, they passed on great trades for carmelo anthony, and now they traded their best defender and possibly the most consistent player forabsolutely nothing.

not to mention NOT re-signing najera and letting him go, even though he was one of the better defenders and more versatile players. they dont need marqueeplayers, they need a new coach, a less selfish superstar than carmelo, and quality role players.

Hornets and Blazers in 08-09, good management ftw.

The Bucks, too.

They got Mo, Bell, and this dude Sessions was TEARING IT UP as the season ended. Throwing out like 20 assists and stuff.

How does Lue fit there?

Unless the Bucks are looking to move Mo..

I think this is the second time I've quoted you. This came out of nowhere. I thought Lue would go to a contender. The Bucks have to be lookingto move Mo. Sessions killed it last season.

Where did he come from?

I wonder would Sacramento be interested in a Critt for Garcia swap?
nerd.gif

ehh, they pretty high on cisco, they just booked beno for five years, and they got quincy (BROOKLYN!)

nah we don't like quincy. the few people that do like him probably just feel sorry for the guy. he had 1 good game in what, 3 years? (againstthe warriors or something where he smashed for 20 in a half or something). he's not really good at much. but i'll be honest--i don't know anythingabout critteron. never seen him play, not sure what he's good at, etc. but that could be telling about whether the kings would be willing to give up one ofthe hometown favorites for him. garcia is a high energy, bulls-eye 3 pt specialist who's been getting better every year. he has a low b-ball iq buthe's getting better. he even played a lot of backup PG last year so i don't think anything with him for critteron would go down.

Word is currently breaking out of Denver that the Nuggets, obviously frustrated by having one defensively competent player, have traded Marcus Camby to the Clippers in exchange for a second round draft pick.

I really don't see Tmac bein traded, like stated numerous times everyones settin themselfs up for that 2010 lottery.

As for the pistons the only move I see us makin is movin Billups, there's a couple teams with PG needs and we got Stuck.

and everyone's affected by that? Lue's doo doo.

1. Some obscure Toronto newspaper reported that there were trade talks, when there isn't.

If I'm Petrie, I don't even consider doing this deal even if it is straight up. We don't need Howard--we need a power forward who can rebound and block shots. Or at least rebound. David Lee, Zach Randolph, and Lamar Odom would really be the only deals I'd listen to out of the rumors flying around. The Kings best move here is to trade Artest for a 4 and move Salmons into the starting lineup and have Garcia as the 6th man.

It doesn't really matter if Sacramento is high on Salmons and Garcia if the trading partner doesn't see it that way. They really aren't asvaluable as people around Sacramento like to think - especially Fransisco.

I think Howard would be the best deal for the Kings. He's All-Star caliber and young. Howard would be the only one of the rumored targets that would evenbe in the Kings' future plans. Getting Randolph or LO would just be a stopgap, because you know they won't be a part of the Kings' plans from thestart. If they use LO for his huge expiring contract, I don't think they would end up using the money to net anyone as good as Howard.

However, it is the Kings that would have to even out the deal. Howard is better than Artest, and his value is a lot higher because he's still young and hasan upside. Don't forget, before the whole "Smoke weed everyday" ordeal and bad show in the playoffs (which I think is because he never fit withKidd, not because he fell off), he was an All-Star.

Howard + an expiring contract for Artest + Garcia. Helps both teams. I like both teams better in the end.

Why the hell would the Bucks sign Tyronn Lue after Ramon Sessions jumped on to the scene like that last year?

All this T-Mac stuff is overblown for two reasons:

1. Some obscure Toronto newspaper reported that there were trade talks, when there isn't.

2. Then like a week later, Stephen A decides to pick it up, and comment yesterday how T-Mac is 'interested.' Stephen A overblows the comment how T-Mac is interested in a 'winning situation' That doesn't mean he wants to go to Detroit.

Trust me, T-Mac will not get traded.

Our GM is a numbers guy, and he's setting himself up for 2010 just like everybody else. Hence the Brent Barry deal, which is a 2 year deal. Everybody except Battier and Yao comes off the books for the Rockets in 2010.

preach my brother

Craig Smith is the first of the Wolves' own free agents to reach an agreement with the team, coming to terms on a two-year deal he will sign when he is expected to join the summer-league team in Las Vegas today. Now how, or if, Smith will play in the remaining three games is uncertain, but since the summer team's practice days all have passed, it wouldn't make much sense for him to travel from his home in Los Angeles to Vegas if he wasn't going to play at least a game. Minneapolis Star Tribune

Several teams reportedly have an interest in Gomes, whose agent is aimed at getting his client the full $5.6 mid-level exception. James Posey's signing with New Orleans on Wednesday could kick-start a team (Cleveland?) that lost out in those sweepstakes to sign Gomes to an offer sheet. Minneapolis Star Tribune

According to a source close to Dallas, the Mavericks offered 14th year swingman Jerry Stackhouse and fourth-year forward Brandon Bass for Kings small forward Ron Artest. The Kings are not expected to entertain the offer if it doesn't include Dallas small forward Josh Howard, but the inquiry certainly reveals the level of the Mavs' interest. According to the source, Howard does not appear to be available even if the Mavs are looking for a significant addition after falling to New Orleans in the first round of the postseason. Sacramento Bee

Free-agent point guard Tyronn Lue and the Bucks are nearing agreement on a one-year contract, Milwaukee general manager John Hammond confirmed Wednesday night. Lue, who played last season with the Atlanta Hawks and Dallas Mavericks, would add depth to the Bucks' backcourt and give Milwaukee another veteran in case of an injury to starting point guard Mo Williams. Milwaukee Journal-Sentinel

Free agent point guard Tyronn Lue told The Boston Globe on Thursday that he had agreed to a two-year deal with the Bucks paying $2.5 million per season. Lue was flying to Milwaukee today to sign the contract. The two-time NBA champion was very interested in playing for the Celtics but said they offered a little less than half than what Milwaukee did. Boston Globe

Forward James Posey agreed to a four-year, $25 million contract with the New Orleans Hornets yesterday, leaving the Celtics after helping them win their 17th NBA championship in his only season in Boston. Posey's agent, Mark Bartelstein, had said recently that a contending team could soon step up and make the offer needed to land his client. New Orleans was that team. An NBA source said Posey is expected to sign the contract by week's end and have an introductory press conference in New Orleans next week. Boston Globe

"It's always tough," said Posey by telephone from Los Angeles, where he and his former teammates were taping the ESPY Awards. "It's a tough decision with the team and what we had accomplished as an organization and with the Celtic pride. We were able to win it all. For it to come down to this is never easy." Boston Globe

According to an NBA source, the Celtics were willing to give the 31-year-old their full midlevel exception over three years, starting at $5.5 million next season. Boston, however, wasn't comfortable adding a fourth year. Posey also received interest from Cleveland, Detroit, Washington, Toronto, and the Lakers. Boston Globe

Whether Posey starts or comes off the bench, he would likely play more in New Orleans than he did in Boston. From the start of free agency July 1, the Hornets were focused on Posey and forward Corey Maggette (who signed with Golden State). Boston Globe

But don't be surprised if the Celtics attempt to re-sign one of their own free agents, guard Tony Allen. Allen's agent, Mike Higgins, said yesterday he expects the Celtics to make his client an offer. Boston Globe

If Memphis - and that is a huge if - were to try to lure a restricted free agent, it likely would be a big man like Atlanta's Josh Smith, Charlotte's Emeka Okafor, Chicago's Luol Deng or Golden State's Andris Biedrins. Things are always fluid in the NBA, but it seems that Iguodala has few options other than working out a deal with the Sixers. Unless Memphis shocks the world, any offer Iguodala can get from another team probably will be considerably less than what the Sixers will offer. Philadelphia Daily News

Iguodala could play this season for the $3.8 million qualifying offer and then be an unrestricted free agent next year, but frankly, that's the logic that got him in his current predicament. Iguodala and his agent read the market wrong when they turned down the reported $57 million contract the Sixers offered before last season. Philadelphia Daily News

Nothing against the Clippers. If anything, it's nice to be wanted, Marcus Camby says, but it's going to take a little while to come to grips with the trade that sent him from Denver, his home the past six seasons, to Los Angeles on Tuesday. "He was pretty disappointed," said Rick Kaplan, Camby's agent. "Marcus is a guy who really embraces the place he is (in), and he did that in Denver. He wanted to be there, and he thought they wanted him. "I'm sure, eventually he'll feel that way about the Clippers. By making this move, obviously, the Clippers indicated that they wanted him and are committed to winning. They did it right after everything that happened with Elton Brand, so obviously, they are committed to winning. He's just a little disappointed right now, with the way things ended in Denver." LA Daily News

As of Wednesday night, he still hadn't heard from Denver's front office. "I'm still in disbelief," Camby said. "I'm still numb." LA Daily News

Camby: "When I first heard about the trade, I felt like I was the scapegoat after all our past first-round exits and failures and lack of defense. ... The team and the organization always talked about the need to play good defense, but they traded away a pretty good defender. From that aspect, I really don't understand the move." LA Daily News

Anthony Roberson: Once he is signed - likely to the NBA minimum and in a one-year deal with an option that is easy to waive if he doesn't make the team out of training camp - the Knicks will have 16 contracts, which is one more than the NBA maximum. Walsh must now make a move on either a buyout for Marbury or Jerome James or work a trade. "We have some ideas," Walsh said of his options, "but it's not like we jumped off a big cliff." NY Newsday

The Knicks are expected to rest rookie Danilo Gallinari for the remainder of the summer league. The 19-year-old experienced back soreness during Monday's opening game and sat out practice Tuesday. NY Newsday

Pistons president Joe Dumars is annoyed by all the talk that he isn't doing anything to improve the Pistons. His problem is people are not privy to all the early-morning and late-night phone calls he has had with about a dozen NBA general managers. "Here is what I can tell you," Dumars said in a measured tone. "I am continuing to do everything I can to improve this team." Detroit News

That is why the rumors that the Pistons would send guard Chauncey Billups to Golden State for center Andris Biedrins are so far-fetched. The Warriors play a running style and Billups is a power point guard who excels in half-court situations and cannot keep up in up-tempo situations. The other factor is Dumars puts high value in point guards and apparently wouldn't consider trading him straight up for Biedrins, a 6-foot-11 center. He started 59 of 76 games and averaged 10.5 points and 9.8 rebounds. Detroit News

There also have been reports that Rockets guard Tracy McGrady is interested in coming to the Pistons. Dumars said he could not comment on the report but is flattered McGrady is interested in the Pistons. ESPN's Stephen A. Smith said he spoke to McGrady and said he would not mind coming to Detroit and that he has faith in Dumars as a leader. Detroit News

Houston Rockets star Tracy McGrady told ESPN he would be interested in joining the Pistons. Rockets general manager Daryl Morey said Wednesday that McGrady is happy in Houston and was surprised at how reports characterized his interest in being traded to Detroit. ESPN's Stephen A. Smith reported on ESPN late Tuesday night that he spoke with McGrady and that McGrady wouldn't mind a trade to Detroit. Detroit Free Press

A team source told the Free Press this week that the Pistons are not "remotely" close to a deal for Houston Rockets superstar Tracy McGrady. Metronews.ca, which is based in Toronto, said in an Internet report - but cited no sources - that the Pistons are "making a big push for McGrady." The Pistons source downplayed the report, saying the Rockets are just one of many teams to whom the club has spoken about potential trades. Detroit Free Press

The Cavaliers signed restricted free-agent guard Daniel Gibson to a five-year contract Wednesday, securing the services of someone they view as integral to the team's future success. Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed. ''Daniel conveyed from Day One of this free-agency thing that he wanted to remain with the team and was excited about where we were going as a team and really enjoyed his two years in Cleveland thus far,'' Cavs General Manager Danny Ferry said. ''In signing him, it really allows us to maximize the opportunity to create a core of young players and, at the same time, build on the continuity that we feel could be important for teams trying to compete for a championship.'' Akron Beacon Journal

T.J. Ford, along with Jarrett Jack, Josh McRoberts and Maceo Baston, were introduced at a news conference Wednesday at Conseco Fieldhouse. Each was acquired in a trade last month. To return to the playoffs (they've missed the past two), the Pacers are putting the ball -- and some of the necessary leadership -- into the hands of their new playmaker. They hope he brings stability to a position that has been basically a revolving door the past few years. Indianapolis Star

Rod Thorn said there are still "a few things to do" before the Nets open camp in September, such as find a combo guard and perhaps a pure point guard to back up Harris and Marcus Williams, who is believed to be on the trading block. A report in the Rocky Mountain News yesterday said the Nets had been interested in trading Williams, Josh Boone and Nenad Krstic to Denver for Marcus Camby, who was instead dealt to the Clippers for a future second-round draft pick in 2010. Camby's agent, Rick Kaplan, was quoted as saying that Vandeweghe "really wanted (Camby)." NY Daily News

Samuel Dalembert is no longer on the Canadian national basketball team. It is unclear whether Canadian coach Leo Rautins gave the 76ers' starting center marching orders or whether Dalembert left on his own. But after Canada beat Korea in Athens, Greece, yesterday without Dalembert, Rautins told the media: "He's not on the team. I'll leave it at that." Rautins, who could not be reached for comment, went on to say, "Everyone who is here wants to be here and wants to be on this team." Philadelphia Inquirer

Now there's somebody the Hornets should have gone after.
