One of my favorite sports movies had to be ABOVE THE RIM. what are some of your favorites?

Pretty good, although I'm sure the racism was toned down in for the PG 13 rating

We Are Marshall.

I was at the premier in Huntington, West Virginia (where Marshall is located) at the actual theater depicted in the movie. I assume there were people in thattheater who lost someone to that plane crash, because it seemed like everyone was crying in unison during that scene.

That experience made the movie tops in my book.

In 1997, Randy Moss was quoted, in a Sports Illustrated article as saying the 1970 Marshall plane crash "was a tragedy, but it really wasn't nothing big."[sup][22][/sup] Moss claimed that the quote was taken out of context.

I've never seen Above The Rim though. Is it any good?

C'mon, I know you saw with those people but Matthew McConaughey is the lead actor in your favorite sport's movie

Hoop Dreams. Nothing is even close to this. This movie looks beyond sport's and analyzes American Society in a way other movies do not. One of the bestmovies ever.
Rocky. Simply Classic.
He Got Game. JESSSSUUUUSSSSSSSSS!!!!!
White Men Can't Jump. The funniest sports movie.
Rudy. How can you not like Rudy?
Hoosiers. Gene Hackman is the man in this movie.

i love this movie too...have seen it 20+ times... the part where Pac gets got

and the whole finals Wood Harris goin crazy.

There are "better" sports movies out there, but my favorite is definitely The Sandlot.

This scene is possibly one of my favorite movie scenes ever. Just perfectly executed, shot, narrated, everything. It kills me everytime.
