you'll need to bring down your calorie intake, unless you want to be a flabby 210 or 220 in the spring. the key thing for you to gain leanmass to have excess calories and strength training. pushups are good, but i'd say skip the situps. you should definitely add pullups (pick up an iron gymfor $30), and leg exercises (bodyweight squats). for cardio, you can do burpees, tabata protocol, HIIT. jogging will be less effectve than these exercisesfor staying lean.Originally Posted by akuratl02

I am 6 ft 5 / 190 lbs now .. 2 months ago was 175 lbs.. I know ..
I increased my calorie intake by 1500-2000 calories per day and thats how I got to 190 now and gaining but I dont have time to hit the gym.
I do push ups and sit ups every other day and don't work out on the weekends to give my body a rest.
I saw that I was gaining weight fast and not being able to work it out fast enough into muscle. Will this suffice through the winter w/ out me getting that skinny/fat look, or will I need to slow down my weight gaining and start jogging as well?
Thanks in advance!

bro, 1-2x a week would be fine. Homemade burgers are relatively healthy and tasty at the same time. don't stress so much about it.Originally Posted by djkaos23
I have a question. I went to the store the other day and I bought some ground beef. I know YUCK. but I bought the leanest GB possible. It was 93% Lean 7% Fat. I hd been having a burger craving so i bought the GB. I cooked it on the grill so any fat that drained was drained away. Is this cool??? i mean i dont plan on making this a regular meal but maybe 1 or 2 times amonth or is that a no-no. Let me know. I also bought 100% whole wheat buns but they are the thin sliced one. No cheese, just meat, cabbage, very small amount of ketchup, mustard, and mayo that made with olive oil and very low in fat.
I just want to know should I count this as my cheat meal for the week or it can pass as a OK meal.

Yup. But if I was a guy like you who didn't get to go to the gym, I would just do some strength training with your own body weight and docardio - running, cycling, HIIT if your down for that. What I would do is Dips, pushups, body squats, body calf raises and see how much you can do in a minuteand then take a minute or so rest and do a couple more sets. Should take you less than 45 minutes but will keep you in condition for over the winter and notget you all fat-skinny looking.Originally Posted by verynecessary
