The last person in the diagram I posted is what is required in a meet. The hip crease must be below the top of the knee, thats what I mean when I say to break parallel.Ok so what qualifies as a successful squat in a powerlifting meet
Which is why I said theres powerlifting parallel and general fitness parallel.
Parallel is typically when the femur is parallel with the ground, but in a powerlifting meet that wouldnt count because the hip crease is always going to be higher than the femur. Thats why I said the video of the squat a little ways back was parallel. It is, assuming its not being judged in a powerlifting meet.
