STAY/GET BACK IN SHAPE VOL 3.0 -- A New Niketalk = A New Thread

@Freeze

The wildest things is you never get to see yourself IN MOTION. Like the first time I saw myself on camera playing basketball, I was like, THAT is what I look like.. Just a weird concept man.
Recorded myself last night doing drills and it's definitely a different image than what you'd expect.

Here I was thinking I was Kobe.

I see myself in pictures and when im next to like my mom who is 5 foot 4 im like oh...i actually look sizable. Then im at the gym and at 6 foot 180lbs im on the smaller side. Always thinking i got to get bigger.

Same type of thing blew my mind when i was out with my friend. This girl walked by me at the bar in a tattered pink floyd t shirt....full sleeve..skin tight black jeans and chucks. Just my type. I was like holy hell that girl is gorgeous. My boy was like who that one? You are kidding right? She is gross. I was literally mid blown that i saw a 10 and he saw a 2. I couldn't get over it. I was literally in a verbal argument with him about how he was wrong

Not to TAN, this thread but I think there is something innate about us that we feel the need to not co-sign girls with our friends. Or downplay how good someone looks. Or like you said, just not agree with it. Me and my boys all have "types." So when we are out we will ask, "Is that a (so and so, insert friend name) girl?" And the person that it is directed to will 9/10 times try and downplay it LOL.

I was about to send this to my boy, I see you talk about hoops, so when you get a chance, enjoy this. It will push you.

Start with Episode 1 and work your way through

Good looks. I'm familiar with Shift Team/10000 hours, but never checked them out beyond a few videos on some of the players' backstories/developments. I'll give it a look after work.

I'll admit the arctic zero stuff tasks like chalk for the most part. If you all aint tried it, give the Vanilla Maple flavor a shot. Leave it out for like 10-20 minutes before eating and it'll be perfect. Eat one of those little cartons on the daily.
what's up my man. long time no amfam. i'll see if my wife is game to try some.

Ah, Devin Williams seems like a cool dude man. There are so many stories and people to become emotionally invested in.

Yo one up dude, just finish the first episode. First off the songs they play throughout the episode was dope. This really got me hype to get back into the gym and hoop. Along with getting back into basketball shape. Need to find more spots to hoop at in DC besides naval yard.

Fall can not come sooner

all the time. I made a comment once in the mind blown/ things you never knew threads about how we've never actually seen ourselves, and what we see in mirriors is strictly just our ideas of what we look like. But that takes into account all of our insecurities, ego, pride, hopes, etc. We can be in the mirror thinking we need to get bigger, or lose weighrt, cut this, trim that, build this, blah blah blah. But to all those that view us, we may look like superheroes, or obsessed lunatics lol, depending on the spin and who is looking.

When I tell my friends outside of the fitness world that I diet and count macros, they say it's crazy and weird with awkward looks. I tell my fitness friends I'm doing it, they ask what my numbers are with excitement. Tis what it is brethren. You just end up having different relationships with different folks. You share different things with different people.

that's deep...
I notice that too, when i look at pics of myself im thinking... wait thats me.
thats not what I saw in the mirror

Your boy just wanted the yambs for himself so he distracted you by telling you she was whack which in turn made you 2nd guess if she was really hot or not. Basically doubted what you Intially thought. I hope you shot your shot that night breh

Never knew there was an active "stay active" thread here in NT.

Just felt like posting a lil story:

I was the chunky kid in school from 3rd grade- 10th grade. I liked playing outside but was always fed wrong. I HATED exercising. Especially running the dreaded mile in school. I was the type to find an excuse to get outta it
mean.gif

Freshman year of HS I was 5'11 195lbs with barely any muscle on me. My sophomore year I got a  job in Six Flags and that helped me lose some weight. Then I realized I was tired of being outta shape. Slowly began working out at the gym and eating healthier. My job requires me to be in shape and now I'm in the best shape ever. I work a lot but have MADE time to go to the gym atleast 2x a week.

I am now 6'0 173lbs and only 11% body fat

). I run my mile avg 8:00. Not bad for someone who use to  hate running. My goal is to get back to 195lbs of lean mass with a lil less body fat.

Stay in shape yall and always do it for yourselves.

EDIT: Wrote this before going to the gym
