In regards to stretching this is what my gym has. Only 2 of them and are mostly used by trainers with clients or trainers stretching out trainers.

I have the Romaleos, Metcons, and the 1.0s (haven't lifted in them yet), but unless your doing some serious squatting or olympic lifting, then you don't really need any elevated heel or expensive shoe in my opinion.

Its so funny seeing these girls in YouTube videos all decked out in close to $500 worth of gear and squatting 95lbs

@BIGBOSS  I can squat 315 breh (Lightweight compared to what you do) But am I worthy for the Romaleos? 
Lol if you have the money to get them then yes, they are worth the investment for sure. I meant people just in the gym for general health and fitness or just to go ham on leg days, they aren't a must have, you could get away with some chucks or something similar. I learned how to squat and deadlift barefoot before ever trying any equipment.
 
People do cleans and snatches with Romaleos in excess of 300 pounds all the time.

I'm sure you guys can do your deads maxes with the Romaleos if you really took the time to get used to it. In Big Boss's case it'd be hardest of couse cuz of the amount of weight :p

Obviously it's more comfortable to dead in flats, though.

How cheap and what color?


Here in the NYC area/boroughs gym memberships are around $40 a month. Thas how much I pay at LA Fitness. City prices are crazy. 24hr Fit is $80 a month, Blink is $30 a month, Equinox is like $200 a month, UFC Gym is like $150 a month, Crossfit boxes are like $250-$350 a month.

Bruh i go to blink and pay 20 a month and can hit all but 1 or 2 of the blinks in NYC 

I wish i could go to Equinox , That price tho

Any guys here who swear of supplements, enhancers, pills, shakes... etc The only thing I take is whey protein and it made a huge difference but that's the only thing I will ever take.
 
Having an elevated heel is not what you want when just doing conventional deadlifts, you want as flat a shoe as possible, one reason why many people use deadlift slippers. 

Agreed.

Helps to drive your foot (heal) when coming up on top.

Still waiting to run into a good deal on Romaleo's

Squatted yesterday 290lb for 6 x 4. I got done and did some deadlifts only worked up to 365 and then did two plate deficits with 275. I got done and went over to the hamstring curl machine and got hit with a wave of nausea. I literally was looking around for the closest trash can thinking i was done for. Haven't felt that bad ever.

Anyway...Deadlift and squate in metcons or nike free 3.0 trainers. I honestly feel more stable in my 3.0 trainers then my metcons. The sole in the metcons is thick and kind of makes me feel a little too far away from the ground. Both shoes have very minimal heel to toe drop but my 3.0s just make me feel closer to the ground.

Had my first ever chiro appointment today. My spine is in good shape, but it's my traps, pecs, lats and scalenes that are OD tight. Started me off with some Active Release Technique therapy and kinesio tape. If anyone has really tight, stiff muscles look into ART. It's basically a form of myofascial release that focuses on releasing trigger points and lengthening shortened muscles.

For the longest time i preached that and but revently ive been deadlifting in romaleos and i like it much more than a flat shoe. The lift helps me get into a slightly better starting position and i can get my hips up a little higher and keep better positioning. The lateral support and hard sole help too.

Ill sumo in chucks though. Its weird.

 I fee like the elevated heel will cause you to pitch forward and make the lockout very difficult.
 
It's just because you're not used to it. It takes some getting used to but staying vertical and not pitching forward can be done.

If people were pitching forward on snatches and cleans they'd never be able to keep the bar close and catch the weight lol
