STAY/GET BACK IN SHAPE VOL 3.0 -- A New Niketalk = A New Thread

Damn. Good job man.

You ever get scared when you go for a pr? Like "this is gonna be the one where amel's curse destroys me"

I do. :lol I've only really hurt my back bad once but I will never forget it.

Squat is the only nerve racking lift for me, with DL you just drop it and on bench you can get a spot. With squat I don't really trust anyone to spot me.

Worddd me too. I always feel like a spot on squats wouldn't be much help unless its a side spot like at competitions.

**** happened to me today lol. I went down 3rd rep with 3plates and i got stuck :rollin. I tried couple times to pop back up, wasnt happening. Thank god for the safety bars.

:lol y'all don't use the rails?

I've only bailed on a few squats but I knew I was pushing it so I had the rails up and just leaned forward out of it.

On dl I just try too hard sometimes. But lately all my prs have been easy.

Man I just supersetted proper chest dips on the dip machine with chest press machine. I'm dead, my back was damn near parallel with the ground. My bro who competes in bodybuilding and strong man showed me that. 15 dips/ 10 chest presses and don't sit on the machine, do a wall sit instead. :x

Always put thr safety bar in. Thats what saved me. I just went down a lil lower and let it sit on the safety bars and ducked out from under. Only thing about it that sucks is having to take all the weight off and put the bar back up then load the weight on again.

It's been 4 1/2 years since I last posted. Looking to get back in shop and I see it taken a toll on my ref life. If anyone can help I'll appreciate it!

I'm about to do something I've never done....deload.

2 years to the month it's been that I flipped the switch and started lifting 3-5x a week and I haven't missed a week.

Tonight, I hit squats, RDL, and leg extensions. Everything was fine until I got up from the leg ext machine and looked around and asked myself "what the hell am I doing here?"

I started thinking about what to do next, because my leg workouts have been more on the fly lately, and I just couldn't come up with an answer. Nothing interested me. I wanted zero to do with it tonight. I've just been really bored lately. I've lost the charge.

If you've been going 2 years straight take a week off

Im not trying to drop 500+ on one of these commercial racks lol it would be loud as **** and the bar would be ruined.

Man this trainer we seeing is no joke. Got me doing stuff I've never done before. Guy knows his **** and is a walking book or body mechanics.

Zercher squats(never thought I'd feel it in the core that much)
Split squats
Pistol squats
RDLs(the devils work)
Bunch of stuff I forget the names
And a lot of accessory hip exercises for me

:{ I gotta vent

As much as I enjoy going to the gym, getting my swole on and all, and definitely appreciate the results...getting clothes that fit is a ******* HASSLE , B :{

I work in a corporate environment so you already know what the dress code is.. If I could come to work in sweats everyday please believe I would.

So it's bad enough that I'm 6'6 and can barely find a shirt that fits my arm length (38-39)...but now every shirt I get fits crazy tight around my arms, and I can barely get my arms to my face to scratch my nose at times :{ . I've tried getting shirts sizes bigger, then slimmed down in the necessary spots, but that costs a ridiculous amount at the end of it all. ($70-$80 per shirt, then $25 to get it tailored). Just so 3 weeks later, I'll be back to square one when my delts start to grow and it feels like the back of my shirt is about to split open

Don't even get me started on the pants :{ Tight around the calves so everytime I stand back up after sitting down, I have to pull the legs down cus its hugged up around my calves :{

**** makes me wanna rip my shirt off and scream

Nah like gracefully roll out of it.

But yeah that **** pisses me off. Don't do rack pulls with 5 plates, set that on some blocks so you don't bend the bar.

I'm on the opposite end of you in terms of height but it sucks finding clothes that fit, I can wear 3x shirts from lifting companies but most of them are too damn long then if I get a 2x and it shrinks then I can't fit in it anymore.

The best fitting company for corporate type wear I have found is Polo believe it or not. A 2xl t shirt or button up fits me pretty well with enough room to move around in.

I get nervous before every PR. :lol

Like I can feel my heart beating through my chest.

It helps me hit it though because I'm hyper focused/scared of the weight.
