ON mocha is the best, when it comes to quality and flavor. But im a savage, i been buying unflavored whey from myprotein.com for dirt cheap. Taste like rotten milk lol

Throwback to hitting a nice little goal of mine, was about 30lbs heavier here, weighed in at 235 this morning, goal is to get to 200 and hit this again. If anyone needs help I have all my old programs saved on my phone, one is bench specific and will get you strong no doubt.

Animal! Probably had a second one in you

Yo if you can send me the bench program id really appreciate it. My bench struggling some.

What do you think of 5 3 1? I know I’m not going to add 40 pounds to my bench in a year but I’ll make slow consistent gains now which is what I need since I’m semi strong now. A lot of guys in my gym don’t like it but they all compete in pl so of course it’s not for them. But for me who’s just trying to casually lift some heavy things and stay strong it seems ok. I’m starting my second week today after two weeks off of lifting. Squat day was brutal.

There was a buy 2 get 1 free on tubs of muscle beach on BB. Apparently they started their supplement brand and have a few stuff out. Theirs is a mixed protein too but i passed on it because I’ve never tried it.

Ive never tried it personally or know anyone who has that Im friends with or talk to. I have heard it doesnt have very much accessories or volume so you won't really get any results in the mirror. I would split it up into weeks like it is kind of set up like do a heavy set of 5 one week then 3 the next then 1 but I wouldn't have it be a true max very often, also after the top set I would back down and do 5x5 and build volume from there. I just had so much success with 5x5 that Im a big fan of it, I literally progressed on it for almost 2 years straight, it got me to over 500 for both squat and DL. Its such a simple approach, I just mixed it in with my PPL split and got the best results.

A simple example would be take 60-70% of your 1rm and do 5x5 and add 5 pounds each week, take a deload every 4-5 weeks and go from there. It just about fool proof as long as you're in that intermediate and below level.

Yeah that’s how it’s set up.

Week one 3x5
Week two 3x3
Week three 5 3 1
Week 4 deload

Heaviest set is last and you always go for a amrap. So you aren’t hitting 1rm ever. Just rep pr and you add 5 pounds a month upper body and 10 pounds lower body.

Yeah there is no set accessory that’s where I just bust out a bunch of volume work usually.

I did 5x5 before too. I feel like everyone should their first year or two in the gym.

I might try what you said too. I’m gonna run this a little bit with high volume accessory’s. If I don’t make gains I’ll go to 5x5 again.

I’m just getting bored in the gym and need something to follow or else I just don’t push that hard.

Just had a killer push day and even hit a couple of prs. One thing i notice with the bench press for me is that as soon as i lose weight my bench press suffers a lot, and as soon as i gain some weight it goes up. With the squat, deadlift, and most other lifts its much much slower.

Pause Close grip bench press 5x3 with 260

Reverse grip bench press 4x6 with 225

Its become one of my favorites lifts. I feel such a good contraction on my upper pecs, a lot more than on incline bench press. Its also so much better for my shoulders. I feel it almost completely takes the load from the delts and allows me to use the pecs more.
