Deadlifted yesterday. Got two sets of 2 reps each at 345lbs. That was a personal record for me. I feel like i can do more but a lot of it has to do with my grip strength. That has been increasing since i started deadlifting once a week.
It's funny how mental these heavy lifts really are (heavy for me at least). I did the first set and really struggled. But if you can block everything else out and just kind of envision the lift and driving your heals through the ground and really snapping the weight up it makes things way easier.
I think il do shoulders traps...and maybe some bi's today.

Man...the feeling before starting your deadlifts is too much...I always get nervous as hell and imagine myself embarrassing myself in front of everyone After the first few reps my confidence goes up though, and I end up feeling strong as @#$% at the end
I can barely scratch my lower backthat feel when your upper back is itchy
I have to say, I've never seen better gains since I lowered the weights I used, increased the reps, focused on form and cut the rest between sets to 1 minute max. I do bicep curls with 20s, one arm dumbbell press with 50s and it feels DAMN good. I'm 6'1 202, and I can definitely push way more weight but I don't even see a reason to anymore. No point in gaining strength for no purpose.
You'll get there in time.
Had a SQUATS/DEADLIFTS day today.
Added some abs in between and after for some extra sweat.
I NEED YOUR HELP BRAHS.
I don't know how you guys are so damn strong. I mean I just started doing deads/squats as part of my routine about 4 weeks ago (3 years too late).
But i put a 45 on each side of the bar and that kills my lower back.
I can go all the way down on squats like 6 times at 135 lbs (including bar)...then the last 4 reps I'm really pushing it up.
I did 3 sets of those.
Is that good for my goal of gaining muscle and getting bigger?
(im not talking about eating, just the workout itself)
Or should I be doing less reps with more weight?
With deads I did the same 135 lbs...I went slow and tried to do proper form...I could do like 6 with slow proper form before i started to shake and stopped. I dont want to keep going if im shaking, i want every rep to be nice and proper.
But should I try to do more? I mean damn... you beasts are all talking about "Oh i just did 315 today on the deads...I went LIGHT..."
"Oh just another easy day with 345 lbs today..."
shows how weak i must be. 6 foot 2 inches, 180 pounds of pure weakness.
Will I get stronger at these soon? Or does it take a while? Ive never incorporated it consistently until now so Im not trying to be Hulk but when Im 200 pounds behind people who are like 6 inches shorter than me it definitely feelsbadman.
Anyone know of a good strength training routine for a beginner to develop a base or can point me in the direction . Links would be helpful. Thanks.

Chest day today. Cardio tomorrow.
I used to have that same problem, just google it son. You'll find your answer.I'm trying to cut and I'm using the MyFitnessPal app to help me track calories. Trying to eat a maximum of 2500-3000 calories a day.
My question is, how would you figure out how many calories for homecooked meals? I cooked chicken breast in the oven as well as some red potatoes but I have no clue how many calories they are.
What were you doing before and what are you doing now? But whatever it is, its more effective.Quick question, I changed up my.cardio routine, now when I'm at the gym I'm.pouring sweat when I'm done. I can literally ring a bucket of sweat when I'm done, where as before my shirt would be kind of wet. Does this indicate that the new workout, with a lot more swear indicate its.more effective? Sorry for the noon question
