STAY/GET BACK IN SHAPE VOL 3.0 -- A New Niketalk = A New Thread

Fat grips seem ridiculously overpriced tho like 40 bucks each. They're good for grip strength and forearms tho.

freeze, copping the masters, nice. You get college gym access out of that?

Yea I got the gripz for like 28 for the pair. It wasn't too bad. just searched around the net and found a site running a special or that had coupons. They definitely help with grip and hand/forearm strength.

Yea bro, MS in Finance. I go to UofM, it has a nice open gym to students with ID's. I haven't had much time to go though. Lately I've just been doing a lot of calisthenics and other at home stuff for lack of time. When I do get the chance, I'm in my regular gym.

ya Im probably gonna use gym quality as part of my criteria for my grad school search.

How do you get it so your delts/torso is much larger than your arms? Kinda like this, I know she's a girl but I'm wondering how I can get that deltoid to really overshadow my arms for effect, like a football player in pads. My triceps are disproportionately large right now.
Side lateral raises and front later raises will help your shoulders get that rounded off look. Remember though muscle shape is determined by genetics. If you want to see some crazy delts look up powerlifter Dan Green, homie is a monster.

Man look.... Probably hit 4k cals easy lol.

I see all this chocolate milk talk, is the unsweetened almond chocolate milk any good? Or you guys drinking regular?
I drink the 2% wal mart brand. Thats why I was saying you need to measure out each serving cause that **** is full of sugar and 150 cals per cup but post workout is when it comes up clutch.

Man grassfed meat and all that stuff is so expensive

You get what you pay for. Better treatment of the animals, more micronutrients, no added artificial hormones, better fatty acid profile, better taste, support family farms, etc. To me, there's no question about whether it is worth it.

Of course there are ways to get it cheaper. For example, you can buy in bulk (1/4 to a full cow). Buying directly from the farm will be cheaper than from a grocery store, and may have more selection even. At the end of the day, good, nutritious food is more expensive than conventionally grown food, but it is also much better for you.

Word. Seems pretty paleo to me. Do you know offhand why white over brown rice?

I keep it pretty paleo nyself . Good way of eating

Brown rice prevents protein digestion and lowers nitrogen balance. Dave Asprey explains in detail in one of his podcasts, how the "shell" of the brown rice picks up mycotoxins. White rice also taste soooo much better.

and yea grassfed meat is expensive as ****, just bought $300 worth of steaks doe :hat :lol

You can definitely find some great schools with major athletic departments. I worked out at Stanford and U of Miami a few times, excellent facilities. So you'll certainly have some great options in choosing.

You know where I want to go and workout for a bit...U of Oregon. Everything is Nike lol. I want to see it.

Never got an answer on OT. Do any of you guys take it as a multi? I ordered a bottle but there's tons of warnings and disclaimers. Wanted to get a little feedback before I started it.

They are just covering themselves so people can't sue.

Skipping the gym today gonna lift and do cardio Saturday, would have been a waste of gas to leave my girls house to go home lift and comeback across town the same day. Me having an la fitness membership would be clutch right now :(

Just some of the schools with nice facilities I've seen/used:

BU, Northeastern,
Maryland,
Ohio State,
UVA is alright,
UT Austin is alright,
Northwestern is building a brand new complex on Lake Michigan,
Michigan is supposed to be real good I bet, B1G

Basically most of the big sports public schools and the elite private schools from what I've established.
ya makes sense. Smaller private elite schools don't necessarily have great gyms tho from what I've seen. Also more urban schools are limited by space issues. That said if I can find a grad program where I get access to a prowler, I'm doing it

Found a clutch slickdeals code where the 99 initiation fees are waived so just paid 70 and its 35 a month. My mom stays down the road from my girl so I'm gonna pick up some underwear and shorts and go lift. Since I don't have any protein shakes with me I'm just gonna eat a chicken breast from the cookout post workout lol

Nice pics of PSU facility. State Patty's Day is legit.

Would love to workout at Bama's state of the art football facility.

Day after 4th of July was dead at my gym.

Everyone hungover and sleeping in.

Less than 10 cars in the lot at 7 AM.
