STAY/GET BACK IN SHAPE VOL 3.0 -- A New Niketalk = A New Thread

^ either does mine. Its not ideal sweating buckets but I feel like I have to work harder. Not sure if good but training hard to me is always a plus.

Good lookin out on the various cleaning options guys, wife going to come home and think I am trying to take over the laundry duty.  I am going to keep an eye out for the OdoBan, and will pick up the Lysol on my way home.  Might pick up the OdoBan on way to gym, Home Depot is on the way.  Is Oxy clean in stores now, I haven't used it since Bill May's passed away.
You can find it at Home Depot too

Question how do you tell your gym partner he has a little BO problem.  I don't think it is his clothes because the smell is present in his new gym clothes.  I know we aren't females but as dudes we can sometimes come across as a-holes when we tell someone something.
Throw him a speed stick and say "use it"

rarely weigh myself, maybe once or twice a month for the hell of it if im next to a scale

numbers dont mean jack IMO
This right here. I don't like weighing myself.

My wife is one of those people that likes to get on the scale everyday at the same time to see whats different. Threw the damn thing away the other week.

I rock long sleeved dri-fit gear cause I sweat like Patrick Ewing in the 90s.

I do it to be considerate :lol :{

See this is me. I don't think people go through what i do. I get done the gym and every day i can wring sweat out of my shirt...there is not one dry spot left i pour sweat from my face drips everywhere. I go through like 4 of those baby towels the gym provides per work out. So my apparel takes a beating that's for sure. When i keep a shirt for about a year there is just a built in smell. My washer has a setting for "soil level" i always put it on high and its an hour and a half cycle to clean my work out clothes....doesn't fix it.

Guess i should just start throwing stuff away but work out clothes aren't cheap.

And the mobility work i do really is just foam roller and stretching on deadlift and squat days. That really helps my lower back and hamstrings. If i didn't do that god knows how stiff i would be to start.

I'd add some more in. Check out defrancos agile 8. Also take a look at mobilitywod.com and Kelly starretts new book. ***** like 40 bucks but well worth it

That struggle, when your face is drenched with sweat, but there isn't a dry spot on your shirt to wipe with haha

Say this and made me chuckle..

If y'all don't weigh yourselves how do you properly cut? You just pick a caloric goal and keep eating at it for a time period?

yeah if he's a close friend you have to tell him. Just be gentle about it, dont come out and say "bro you smell like...."

On a side note, what kind of antiperspirants/ deodorants do you guys use. I've been on the search for a new one, but always seem to go back to
400

problem is, is that although it works great, its just a deodorant so it doesnt stop me from sweating. When I'm at the gym its no biggie, but when wearing it casually I start to sweat through shirts on the daily and its a little embarrassing. I've read some negative things about aluminum in antiperspirants and most of them tend to smell way to strong. Not a lot of unscented for men out there (they also tend to clump in your armpits)

i weigh myself every monday. i need some measure of progress or evidence to make adjustments. i do my best to take note of things i ingest that might cause water retention and i also go by the contour of my stomach and maybe by the veins on my arm.

meh

hes not a real athlete
What's your definition of an athlete?

properly cut, by looking in the mirror :lol

if you know what you are doing, numbers IMO dont mean a damn thing. one day you are down 10lbs, the next your are up a few.

if you are doing it right, you can easily see in the mirror if your doing a good job.

thats just me tho, im not saying dont weigh yourself. we all do, just dont make a habit of it. once in awhile is fine.

I use both with a grain of salt. Also, how your clothes fit is a big indicator as well.

If I solely relied on the scale, I would be going nuts right now. Been at 225-230 the past couple of weeks, weighed myself this morning and I was at 234 (:rolleyes). However, looking in the mirror, I'm seeing progress and my clothes are fitting very loose. So yeah.

I weigh myself every Friday, upon waking up.
