how long are you in the gym for? Your A workout has 8 exercises and B has 9. That seems a little OD to me.

^ I heard that after a certain while your body stops benefiting by working it too much. I cut down and am starting to see muscle definition. Now I usually do a set of about 6-8 exercises 3-4 times each from increments of 15, 12, 10 to 8. and increasing weight on the last one or the last two. Followed by 20-30 min cardio session.

Yeah but he isnt just hitting one muscle group each time. I can see you really want them capped delts though Luck lol

4 exercises for a big group like back or chest isnt really OD in my opinion, considering you do the main work with a compound and then some accessory work. Plus if he is BB training then he will see the best results through time under tension.

I do agree there is a line that some cross and overtrain. Like dedicating an entire workout to arms lol

I'm only doing 4 lifts per body part which isn't much all lol, and I looked at bodybuilders workouts (even though much if the workouts online probably aren't real) and saw most guys did 3-4 things per body part and for reps and sets I noticed 4x8 was my money spot.

Noticed very little ab work and cardio. Is this because you workout with enough intensity that you considering your lifting cardio?

I do stair climber 15 min. After each A and B workout and do 30 min on Wed since I don't lift on wed. Saturday is a day I'm off 100% or I use it as a make up day for cardio if I act lazy and skipped during the week. And I can see how I have big abs under my fat and my compound lifts target them indirectly I just recently added the ab crunch last week since in a few months my body fat is going to be in the teens

You count calories too?

You count calories too?

Yes, from end of June to about now I have maintained 230-235 though, some times intentionally sometimes not, I got to as low as 228 a few times. But these past few weeks maintaining weight I've added about 80-90lbs to my deadlift and my squat went up(for squats they probably went up because I was doing leg presses heavy to substitute since my old gym didn't have a squat rack)

Sept 1 I'm getting back on my disciplined cutting.

That reminds me of the bamboo bar or whatever its called that Mark Bell and them use. Pretty cool.

same concept.

but this one has straps, designed to hold kettle bells at their intended form - free wavering motion.

amplifly the bamboo bar by 5 because of the extra unstability it brings.

if your core is not tight A. you wont be able to do it B. you are about as unbalanced as oprahs diet :lol

I never hit abs directly but I squat and deadlift heavy twice a week, they've never looked better.

i did til i tweaked my back, worst pain ever. that crap nearly put me out of commison :x

Be careful brah. Do you know how you injured it?

Looked up Strong lift, gotta say --- it's pretty ******g awesome. Not for me, but I'm glad I found it because I will pass this info on to my dude. He's lost like 30 lbs so far and is doing really great. He doesn't really have a set "plan" though in the gym, I think this will be good for him to start building muscle etc.

In terms of my plan, I think I may have found one! Good looking out ;) Starting a new "diet" this week coming up! Gonna up my exercising as well. Alright bros, let's get it.... I needz deez gainz

Stronglifts is great. More for beginners though. I just finished using it even though I'm not a beginner. My squat went up a little since it was my first time doing a program like that.

But I stalled quicker than most since I wasn't a beginner. Transitioning to Bill Starr's 5x5 now.
Honestly, anyone could benefit from a program like stronglifts. Unless you're a person doing 2x your bodyweight in 3 of the 4 main compounds and pressing your bodyweight.

As for the rope question, 9 ft rope is fine. You can always tie a knot in the rope right underneath the handles to shorten it.

camping is fun as ****. Just grill a bunch of meat and eat that ideally you'd kill your own squirrels with your bare hands but if you're not bout DAT life jerky is a solid camping food, maybe some trail mix. Where you going camping at?

Sorry I'm late. Kayaked the Saco River from North Conway to Fiddlehead Beach in Maine. Took 8 hours (17 miles).

Didn't eat ideally, but not horrible. Protein bars, beef jerky, salad but then dogs, sandwich from sub shop :{

Low Carb Cory is good. As far as entertainment hodge twins & physiques of greatness have that on lock down. As far as no b.s. and telling you the truth, the way it is CT Fletcher hands down. Elliot Hulse strength camp channel is really good for that also.

Very humbling lift. Its the hardest out of all of them for me to progress with. Adding something small like 10lbs takes awhile but feels badass :hat
Yeah, if you think about adding weight in terms of percentages of your original weight rather than in absolute terms, progress isn't as slow for OHP, but yes it can be frustrating to progress the lift given the standard plates at a gym.

Copped some Walden Farms caramel gonna use it on that 150 cal pint Artic Zero ice cream and a serving of almonds when ever I have a craving for ice cream.

Also picked up some lifting straps since they were a free gift with my order.
Sounds disgusting. CAll me a hippie but I couldn't consume all those chemicals at once.

Yeah I don't see the need for all that volume especially if you are in a deficit.

70sbig.com puts out some good Youtube videos. Mobility WOD puts out quality videos too.

CT Fletcher is entertaining dont get me wrong, but ive seen some videos where ive seen some sketchy stuff like going down about 3 inches on squats and some horrible deadlift form where dude looks like he was about to destroy his back that CT gave praise to. :x :{

youtube videos i like are POG, bigJ, hodgetwins(purely entertainment purpose), omarisuf and jonnie candito(this guy is awesome suscribe ASAP).

I cant watch CT dude just yells and seems to not care about form or complete full reps, POG imo is the best Youtube channel, its to where I`ll have their videos playing on my tv and my girl can sit and watch and be entertained.
