Keeping It Movin..

Bodybuilding is one of those weird things. I see bodybuilding as a sport, but I guess I can see why some people say they're bodybuilding cause you're "building" your body.
I guess my gripe is with people that call themselves bodybuilders and never hit a rear lat spread in their life.

I was rocking with you until you called bodybuilding a sport....

Ahahahaha...

I know many people that compete in MR O year in and year out.

To be a sport, it requires some type of athletic ability..

These guys can't throw a ball with fluid motion because they are so tight.

Please.

Bodybuilding is a hobby, not a sport.

Powerlifting is a sport, athletic movements are being performed.

Ahaha.

I'm sorry, I'm still laughing at bodybuilding being a sport.

To me, I lift weights.

Hit goals.

And keep it moving.

A sport....

Lol

BB is a sport in the sense of dedication and being able to better yourself year in and year out but I wouldn't compare it to basketball, football etc... BB doesnt require any type of athleticism or being in good cardiovascular shape

I dont know how some people cant gain weight. I just had a solid 2k calorie breakfast that was the BOMB. Anyone need help gaining come see ya boy down here and I'll get ya RIGHT

I had some rough sleep this week due to a cold. Someone has mentioned sweats during sleep before but i cent remember what causes it...

It's millions if reasons from the looks if it even saw people say it about fish oil, and ironically I didn't use any the other day and didn't sweat at all. Who knows

Crossfit is a sport, I personally don't think bodybuilding is more of a sport than say a beauty pageant...no shots fired...is pretty much you prep for it and on completion day you showcase your end result and the way you look is what gets you the W, not your performance in a competition like actual sports...

Shouldn't be a question if I said it lol.

I'm stating facts.

Bodybuilding is NOT a sport.

Not the dumbest **** you have heard.

Is it an Olympic sport ?

No...

Is oly powerlifting a sport...

Yes.

Do bodybuilders hit clean, snatches, clean and jerks...

No...

Bodybuilding is a hobby.

Majority of the big time pros are under 6 foot, and never played a real sport (yes I know Phil played bball).

Fact of the matter is, they couldn't because they weren't athletic.

Thats where you're wrong. Try posing while being dehydrated and at your weakest state. Posing is the hardest thing about bodybuilding. Your muscles take up a **** load of oxygen and blood just to flex. And im not talking about standing in the mirror flexing your arms. Im talking about REAL posing. Posing that alot of pros take classes for. Its not just walking around the stage strutting your stuff like a pageant.
Ronnie Coleman tore his triceps when he won an olympia hitting the floor in victory
1000

Branch Warren tore his quad tendon just from stepping the wrong way while walking when he was close to a show.
Im putting these examples out there to show how weak and brittle your muscles and tendons get when prepping or competing. And then to pose on top of that.
People pass out on stage its so tough. I remember in one of Phil Heaths vids, he was talking about an Olympia. He said he just had to keep telling himself "Dont pass out"

So yea, you have to be athletic and you have to be in good cardiovascular shape.

So to be a sport, it has to be in the olympics and you have to be a certain height? :lol
700

Hit the stage and actually win something then come talk to me

Bodybuilding is one of the most misunderstood sports. So I cant blame most of yall for thinking the way you do

Different ideologies and different opinions, it ain't that serious brahs. Every has their thoughts and it looks like we ain't gonna be as to convince others about our thinking. I'm trying to get cut and be able to be stronger. quicker, and have more endurance then everyone I play basketball, football, etc against.

I'm trying to get cut up and shredded, Lucky's trying to get massive gains, streezy's getting his crossfit on, and dropten is working on posing. It's all gravy man, just go lift some heavy @ss weights, talk protein, routines, and support each other.

Saturday morning grind.

To be misunderstood as a sport...

Would require it to be a sport.

The fact of the matter is, majority of these guys started "bodybuilding" at a young age because they couldn't participate in a real sport.

I played football my whole life, so I don't know that feeling of trying to fill a void.

More power to you and your dehydrated buddies.

Getting on stage is one thing I have no desire to do.

Not knocking it, just want it to be known that it is intact not a sport.

Like I said earlier, all your other posts I was repping..

Until sport talk lol.

Don't want to derail the thread.

Last time I'll speak upon the subject.

Keep lifting and smashing goals my brethren.

Let me ask you this. What is YOUR definition of a sport?
