The College Basketball Post

Getting Jordan is a necessity because I'm not sure we really are in great position with anybody else in this incoming class. Think we have a good position because UCLA has its issues and Maryland might have a little logjam there with Faust and the Harrisons potentially.
I know Lavin is up on Jermaine Lawerence doing his due diligence but I'd be surprised if he ended up here, seems to be Cuse from everything I've read.
Anything know much about this Ish Wainwright kid, supposedly Lavin saw him yesterday?

You think Wood end's up at UCLA? St. John's had early interest...

our 2013-14 OOC schedule:

Louisville
UNC
Michigan State
Duke
Baylor (Cowboys Stadium)
Texas (aircraft carrier)

Idk man..i mean who knows, but dude loves the college life. But say he breaks out, scouts drool, says hes a top 15 pick, yeah hes gone lol

Why would Jordan go there when they already signed a point guard this class?

I Agree but their going after a combo guard for this class really strong.....if carter williams goes pro which they think theyll just be left with a freshman ennis and a sophomore ****ey.....no depth at all....a guy like selden or jordan could come in and start and play a ton even if they didnt......still think jordan ends up at umd tho or st johns

Arsalan Kazemi is transferring from Rice. UK, Florida, OSU, Cinci, Texas and Oregon is his list.
Gunna, where do UT folks think Johnathan Williams III is heading?
Cross Cincy off. Backed off because it's too late for him to enroll.

This Jermaine Lawrence to Cuse lock stuff has no substance behind it so far.

Basketball comes first at La Lumiere, and that is exactly why Detrick Mostella made the transfer.

Four-star guard Detrick Mostella made a big transition from the state of Alabama to Northern Indiana by enrolling at La Porte (Ind.) La Lumiere. The high scoring guard is adjusting to his new surroundings and at the same time beginning to think about college visits.
Temperatures are in the 50’s in La Porte at night these days, and needless to say Mostella is still getting used to that, but so far so good for him at La Lumiere.

“It feels different,” said Mostella of his transfer. “I’m not with my friends kicking it back in Alabama and the weather has definitely changed. It is a lot different but I like being up here a lot. I have time to do my homework and not be out on the streets. Basketball and the weight room, that is what we live for up here.”

Recruiting wise a few schools have been up to La Lumiere already with more on the way.

Western Kentucky has been up here, and then Texas A&M, Marquette, Kansas, Florida, and a couple of more are saying they will be up here in the next couple of weeks,” said Mostella.

In terms of visits, three schools look to be getting them, though nothing has been completely set up yet.

“I am going to take a visit to Georgetown, Texas A&M, and SMU,” noted Mostella.

Georgetown is a school that has been talked about quite a bit with Mostella, and the Hoyas style of play appeals to him.

“I like the way they play and they have recruited me hard,” Mostella said of Georgetown. “They focus on defense there, and that is one thing I have been working on a lot is my defense.”

When it comes to SMU, the Mustangs are trying to bring him in to be a big piece to their rebuilding project.

“I like the coaching staff,” he noted. “I have been talking to Coach (Larry) Brown a lot, and he has been telling me how they will play, and how good I would be if I went there.”

The Texas A&M Aggies continue to sell Mostella that he would be a major playmaker in their ball screen offense.

“I like A&M’s pick and roll offense,” said Mostella. “I can get my shots off of the ball screen and then get everyone else involved in the game. That is real appealing to me.”

While Mostella is beginning to think about visits, he says not to expect any kind of decision until the late signing period.

“I’ll be deciding after the season, but before the season I will get my list down lower so I can say for sure which schools I am considering,” Mostella noted.

When the time does come for him to make his choice Mostella says that two factors in specific will help guide him.

“I am looking for a school

Did he really beat his chest after dunking on that kid in that first video?

I know Cal was ready to KILL him after hearing about the fall.

Chris Perry seems like he'll be announcing to Cincy October 6th. Kevin Johnson, Troy Caupain, and Chris Perry is a pretty nice class so far. 2 more spots that we could potentially fill, with interest still out there in Deshaun Morman, Demetrius Henry, Jermaine Lawrence and a few others.
