The College Basketball Post

Pleaseplease lower the shot clock, teams pass the ball around the zone for 30 secs n take a bomb and go chase.....terrible to watch, wish Jimmy would press though and dictate tempo for short stretches[

I gave props to DeAndre Kane for playing a big conference game with injury, now it's Patterson's turn. Went off in the Dome and now he's doing it again with a bad thumb.

Make it 24.

Period.
This.

I don't understand how it's not universal by now.

Make Jay Bilas the head of the rules committee. He gets it.

A 24 second clock combined with the effort the college guys give would be

.

Would put the NBA regular season product to shame, imo.

I agree 35 is too long and can allow teams to bleed it out who struggle offensively, I can't even imagine watching basketball when there was no clock :lol isn't that te only reason Nova beat Gtown?

Champ agreed as well on 6 fouls, college kids should get more of a buffer

Like how my squad is handling this game so far...need to keep the clamps down on defense and not let them get to the rack. Praying for this upset, wish I could be back in the Zoo..hate Boehiem

I actually always wondered why that wasn't the same as NBA level, the fouls...or at least flipped around since college kids are more raw anyways

And to be honest the zone is wack as well, it makes it really tough to have fluid offense. Not just saying it bc were playing Cuse but we suck on offense mostly and this amplifies it.

Plus if the clock gets cut to 24, there would be many more opportunities for potential fouls.

I don't think you can change the clock without changing the fouls.

Langford, that you?

I dislike Tharpe, think PG play is Kansas' Achilles heel. Mason has shown flashes, but he's not consistently ready. Tharpe was taking some questionable deep shots against K-State. Greene's TO in OT hurt.

As for Zona, RHJ is ample coverage for Ashley. 14/10 against Oregon and 16/5 vs. Oregon St. The downfall will be lack of reliable perimeter shooting. Gabe York is the only strong deep shooter. McConnell and Nick Johnson shoot 33-34% from three. Not good enough in March. Johnson has been our MVP. Shot 1-14 in the lone loss to Cal. This isn't Arizona's year, IMO. Sparty or UF. With Kansas and ISU in the Final 4.
Haha, not Langford...(is he on here still?)

Agree 100% on PG play being KUs achilles heel and Mason. Greene's TO in OT did hurt a lot...but can't hate cause he helped get KU to that point. Embiid and Traylor being out hurt a lot cause KSU went to pick and roll over and over again with DJ Johnson and had no one down low to alter or block his shot.

I think both UA and KU (especially KU) just leave you wanting so much more....KU has so much talent w/ Wiggins, Selden, Embiid, Ellis and Wiggins acts like he doesn't want to be out there half the time, Selden is extremely inconsistent, Embiid is still raw (and hurt)...Ellis will usually quietly get his but overall the team is still frustrating to me cause I just watch them wanting so much more...maybe I am being unfair (probably am.)

Regarding FF runs, I'd honestly be a little surprised if KU made it...just don't see it and lack of solid PG play is a huge factor...but who knows. Hope I am wrong, depends a lot on matchups.

What is Patterson doing to close. Turnover then lazy close-out on Fair.

Zanna is the player of the game if Pitt wins.
