but we're talking about a guy who directed goodfellas, casino, taxi driver, mean streets, departed ... not the mighty ducks and fried green tomatoes.
I have little doubt that Scorsese won't make this work to be one of his top films.
my main concern is if pesci can still retain the santoro/devito toughness at his age (his role will prob be different than what we're used to for him)

Thats up to Scorsese and no one else.
He tapped a young DeNiro same way he tapped a young Leo. Almost tapped Andrew Garfield for a run.
Besides he's making a movie about old dudes. Why cast young blood?
