The Official NBA Season Thread: Las Vegas Summer League

Perception has you believing Jimmy Butler is some sort of Iron Man when being compared to Kawhi. Check his GP Over the last 6 or so years.
Jimmy's my guy but there's some nasty revisionism at play about Kawhi today  :smh:

Dudes can never simply leave it at he's not healthy or is rarely healthy which is true.

Always gotta go further to downplay or minimize what they've already accomplished and already set in stone for some reason

The NBA will borrow a page from the NFL, as following the end of the football’s regular season, NBC will have the NBA succeed the highest-rated primetime show on television, “Sunday Night Football,” while, on Thursdays, Amazon will do the same after its TNF coverage concludes.

During the entire regular season, Amazon Prime Video is anticipated to have its other games streamed predominantly on Friday nights and Saturdays.

NBC will have games throughout the full NBA season on Tuesdays. Peacock, NBC’s streaming service, is expected to have exclusive telecasts on Mondays. Peacock will also simulcast all the NBC games.

ESPN will slightly cut down on the amount of regular-season games, going from around 100 now to the range of 80. During the NFL season, it will have its games on Wednesdays, Saturdays and Sundays, with its Saturday night game being its special ABC window. Later in the year, after the NFL, ESPN will have Friday night action, as well.

All three platforms will have playoff games, while Amazon Prime Video will be the home of the In-Season Tournament. Amazon and NBC will alternate showing conference finals. ESPN will have a conference final and the NBA Finals each season.

We’ve got a guy like BEN SIMMONS who has all the excuses in the world. Literally used the increased national concern about mental health as a cop out. Was afraid to play in front of Philly fans.

Is afraid to even shoot on the court.

Meanwhile, Kawhi has had two ACL injuries AND has torn his quad before. Those are major injuries.

The dude actually has a desire to play. He has suffered some extreme injuries, debilitating injuries. It’s amazing how guys like Embiid, Grant, Penny, a number of other guys get the “what if?” they were healthy… meanwhile Kawhi is a two-time champion despite the injuries and he never shies away from the competition when he plays

When he plays, he actually goes out and plays 100%. The guy never cheats the game

Joel Embiid is just as injury prone as Kawhi but they get spoke about completely different:lol:

Amare is crazy underrated
Them knees robbed him, this is just my opinion, when healthy in his prime I would take him above many of the PFs of that time, except for Dirk and TD. Amare was just that good, he was NBA ready out of high school, my homeboy was like “he’s a product of Nash”, but in New York dude was a legit MVP candidate in his first year before them knees started acting up with no Nash……
