The Official NBA Season Thread

The Rockets were a disaster before Udoka got to town. Green still has time to turn things around and Ime is his best bet at succeeding.

Rockets giving up on 21 year old Jalen Green when they’re a middling fringe play-in team seems really stupid.

What are they trying to get in return for him?
It’s nonsensical

Obvious busts like Wiseman get moved before their rookie deal expires.

Jalen has shown more than enough to get more patience. The rockets are nowhere near a title, moving Jalen doesn’t expedite that at all.

Ime and front office Want to win now. His 15+ FGA at 41% FG hasn’t been getting it done. Been 3 years now. Let Sengun run the offense and Amen/Cam develop

Jalen would definitely thrive in a system with strong vets.

Hopefully, it's not to late for him to break bad habits and get over the hump.

What are they going to win now? They aren’t a good basketball team. Let your young guys develop.

They aren’t just one move away. They’d be even lower in the standings if not for Memphis’ injuries.

Ime and paying a lot of money to get a couple vets in FVV and Brooks have given people a false sense of what this team is/could be, IMO.

Bron making Windhorst feel important again. First they told him to put out that he won’t be asking for a trade. Then told him he had a Knicks towel on purpose when he left the floor.
Can’t tell him nothing right now.

Can’t believe he said him and Bron spoke man to man and said it was time to go our separate ways. Several years ago.

Nothing Jalen is bringing back is significantly changing their trajectory.

Player improvement also isn’t linear. He could be a worthless chuck at 28 years old too but it’s far too early to make that call.

You picked him #2 because he had a special set of physical tools and basketball ability. Provide him with a great coach, solid vets, and let. Him. Develop.

Start building now for next year. If you throw something together sooner rather later can start building chemistry. They added backup big in Adams for next year and want to transition from a developing team to a winning team.

Historically, players show great improvement by their third year as long as opportunity is there. PG was a “late-bloomer” That kept showing improvement year after year. To develop Cam/Amen someone’s minutes have to be freed up

How many years does he get at the expense of the other young guys? It’s 3rd year now going on 4 years

Seems like Rockets want to move on from Green before they have to make a decision on paying him.

Once that happens, unless he takes a big leap, he's a net neutral asset at best with a net negative being more likely.
