Idk which terrible season is funnier at this point. The Lakers suck but they only have one guy making awful sound bites. The Celtics have like five people doing it.

Want to like Udoka, and he's a first year coach, but he's been very bad. Rotations that make no sense, only playing 8 guys, etc. The Schroder/Smart/Brown/Tatum/Timelord lineup doesn't work in crunch time, but he's insistent on playing it.

Biggest issue is personnel at the end of the day. Can't force Tatum to play point forward and not surround him with anyone that can shoot. All the moves they made over the offseason pointed at them "punting" on this season though in order to duck the tax and create more tradable contracts. Hopefully the front office actually has something in mind. Really need a PG, but even one additional guy that can shoot somewhat decently and capable of making some plays would help.

Yeah, I’m kind of doubtful the Celtics behind-the-scenes story is that juicy. They have some talented players, but not necessarily with the most complimentary skill sets. This is exacerbated by the fact they’ve had pretty ****** injury/illness luck during these COVID season. They‘ve still arguably underachieved, so that’s going to lead to some tension and guys getting sick of each other.

Kind of reminds me of the last couple seasons of the Lob City Clippers.

Them going to the conference finals without Kyrie and Hayward was too much too fast. It’s like the pieces that are around from that squad and the culture has regressed every year. Didn’t help when Hayward got back and he went right back to starting and Tatum took a reduced role after being the man during that conf finals against Bron.
