I don't know if you should. Just because something is a good price it might not be what you actually want. If you really like the looks of the watch then go ahead but that money could be put towards something you love instead of like.

I wish I'd take this approach with my trainer collection as I have 5 pairs of ds grey air max 1's.

I've tended to think of them as a jewelry company, they possibly own the Gerald Genta name?

Your right. I think I remember some association with Genta but I have to do some research.

Well what i like about Costco is that if i don’t like it or change my mind i can return it no questions asked. So we will see. Thanks for the reply

That great barrier aquis looks nice. I like all of the aquis, think they are clean watches

Oris in general are good brand with an emphasis on being tools for purpose that look good with prestige and technological innovation being less important. More recently they've gone back into their catalogue which is a trend right now for all brands but the thing I like most about them isms their designs are always made with design trends of today in mind.

The integration of the gmt hand and date are very well executed on the watch. If it came in black and had different end links I would definitely consider it.

https://www.nytimes.com/2019/03/20/style/collectible-watches.html

As tattooed rockers, tech bros and Instagram influencers pile into the tweedy world of watch collecting, prices for sought-after classics from brands like Rolex, Omega and Patek Philippe are shooting up. In some cases, they have doubled in just a couple of years.

These next-generation collectors see old timepieces not just as a subtly stylish way to dress up a T-shirt and jeans, but also as a hot new asset in their investment portfolios. In a market where stocks, bonds and real estate seem at an unsteady peak, do vintage watches present a Bitcoin-in-2017-like growth opportunity? Or are they in a Bitcoin-in-2017-like bubble?

Time — elegantly monitored — will tell.

I've made up my mind that im buying a Rolex for my birthday.
I am between two watches.
The Air King or The Oyster Perpetual 39.
I've made up my mind between these two. I would love your help deciding which one to chose from both.
Any help is appreciated :)

i am honestly not a fan of the lastest air king, the 5, 10, 3, 20, 25, 6, 35, 40, 9, 50, 55 index just looks too busy and random and weird to me

i like the cleaner layout of the op39... cheaper too

go with the OP all day. not a fan of the air king at all.

NT'ers with the gold watch are also DIY'ers, do you have to use a golden screwdriver to take golden screws off?
