Disney already has mother issues...now that I think about it Disney is in a way Michael Jackson.
 
We all know that Captain Marvel is Marvel's answer to Wonder Woman. Females are going to support and Marvel fans are going to support.
 
I did some quick research on the Los Angeles Metro and the map that's behind Brie Larson suggests that Captain Marvel is set sometime between August 12, 1995 (when the Green Line opened) and July 13, 1996. (When the Red Line branched off into what is now the Purple Line.)

I ran into this research too but i think the movie is still set earlier in the 90s and the map on the wall is just an oversight on Marvel's part
