WELCOME TO THE MARVEL MULTIVERSE -*RIP STAN LEE & Boseman* - D&W OUT NOW - Doomsday = RDJ back

Only those scenarios you talked about are nothing like Kang's.

Dude had his tech.

He's faced Avengers before, Earth's mightiest heroes, several times at that. But against the Ant family, dude struggles even with his tech.

Just isn't adding up.
The other Avengers in those other timelines must've been weaker than the Ant family.

Adds up.

Look at how Wanda easily killed the Illuminati from that alt universe.
So all those other variants of him are the same with their tech powers, just all in different costumes?
No. They're all different.

Especially the Immortus(es).

I posted a theory about his survival a couple pages back, which, if you’re paying attention to the typical movie tropes and the bread crumbs they sprinkled throughout the movie, you’ll realize that he’s not even close to being “one and done” and will most likely have a big presence in Kang Dynasty and Secret Wars.

Think about the probability storm he’s currently experiencing and the potential for thousands of Kangs to all find common ground on thing: getting out and winning. Factor in all the tech the ants developed in their time down there and it being at Kang’s disposal once he gets out + his conviction to destroy the Council of Kangs + the Ant family/everyone associated with them?

Yea, he’s coming back scorched earth.

Yeah them other Kangs thinking he’s dead dead are about to walk right into a trap. He had time to plot in the QR without his tech and built a society and held down the masses so as soon as he’s out of that core it’s game over.

Lol the comics are nothing but multi-verse.

Yall prolly the same people that think Jordans should only be in Black and Red colorways.

Multiverse all day, more room for more stories.

Yeah I think the multiverse stuff is pretty dope. Spidey is my favorite, so I’ve expected it since I was a kid. Leaves room open for so many possibilities.

Exactly.. Amazing, Spectacular, Ultimate, etc...were all different versions of Spider-Man in separate Universes and are all top tier comic book series.

People Are Sharing Actors They "Didn't Buy For A Second" In A Specific Role, And Points Were Made

Sun, February 19, 2023 at 2:16 AM EST

Recently, in a thread on the subreddit r/movies, redditor u/StPaulStrangler asked movie lovers to name actors they didn't buy for a second in a particular role, and people really came through with some passionate examples!

Batman asks "And you are?"
Warner Bros.

So with that in mind, here are just a few of the most popular responses shared:

1.Mark Wahlberg, The Happening (2008)

"I did not buy Mark Wahlberg as a high school science teacher."

2.Oscar Isaac, X-Men: Apocalypse (2016)

3.Reese Witherspoon, Walk the Line (2005)

4.Keanu Reeves, Bram Stoker's Dracula (1992)

7.Mila Kunis, Oz the Great and Powerful (2013)

A woman cries hysterically

Walt Disney Pictures

"I’m sorry, but her voice stuck out so badly. With the popularity of Meg from Family Guy at the time, it was too hard not to associate the two when hearing her voice. Like, if Patrick Warburton was a primary character in a movie, you'd immediately call back to every voice he has done, as his voice is just as recognizable."

Here's a glimpse at the performance:

8.Jai Courtney, Terminator Genisys (2015)

"He didn't resemble Michael Biehn even slightly. From his face, his hair, his voice, and his build — this one annoyed me the most. The character grew up in a war zone eating garbage for dinner, but now he's somehow jacked like he lives in the gym and eats steaks? They got everything wrong with his casting. It was so off-putting, he might as well have been playing a different character. At least Emilia Clarke vaguely resembled a young Linda Hamilton."

10.Matthew Broderick, Godzilla (1998)

Here's a glimpse at the performance:

15.Emma Watson, Beauty and the Beast (2017)

Laurie Sparham / © Walt Disney Pictures / Courtesy Everett Collection

"I’m just gonna say it: Emma Watson as Belle. I’m sorry, but they either needed to give her more time to perfect her vocals, hire a voice double for her singing parts, or hire an actual Broadway actor for the part, as Paige O’Hara was when she took the role."

Isaac as Apocalypse could've worked, for sure a bigger guy like Rocky Maivia would've fit better but no actor could overcome that terrible terrible costume design

Eisenberg as Luthor was different for the sake of being different.

only two castings on this list bother me the most, Jesse and Emma. Emma looked too malnourished to even look like an attractive princess. and Jesse got confused with his role and played a character trying to be like the Joker or the Riddler instead of being.......

My beef with the movie was that Kangs power level seemed inconsistent. There were moments where I felt he should have won because of his tech that he lost.

I forgot alllllll about the following scenes

I really dont like her sexy ***

Ive started down a rabbit hole

This is true. On a YouTube bootleg rewatch of last scenes he went from powerful to a chicken in 2 scenes.

The problem with the MCU is they’ve created all these loose ends with all the content they put out over the last 2.5 years and 1) it’s taking way too long to address them 2) it’s becoming almost impossible to wrap them up with a perfect bow.

Things that still need addressing (and don’t yet have a future movie/series on the calendar): a celestial in the ocean, Arishem coming to Earth, Black Knight/Blade post-credit scene, Starfox intro, Werewolf by night/Man-Thing, Dr. Strange’s Incursion, Scarlet Witch’s return, the intro of Skaar, the Shang-Chi’s post-credit scene w/ Cap Marvel & Bruce, Moonknight ending/intro of Jake Lockley, Namor’s place in the MCU, etc

I’m sure I’m forgetting some things but just the above is a lot to connect the dots on.

The problem with the MCU is they’ve created all these loose ends with all the content they put out over the last 2.5 years and 1) it’s taking way too long to address them 2) it’s becoming almost impossible to wrap them up with a perfect bow.

Okay I let it marinate a couple days, and I don't dislike the movie. Certainly enjoyed Quantimania more than #2. The story was tighter, but it still felt pretty big. Too much focus given to Hank and Janet though, for the way things panned out; when you give that much backstory and repair relationships in the way they were, it was shocking to not have either of them die. I get it tho, this wasn't the finale for the Quantum realm or Kang the Conqueror. It set the stage and gave a glimpse of the Rickest Rick.

And that's why, while I enjoyed the ride, I probably won't be rewatching. It was staging for the rest of the phase 5 and setting up a villain for his character growth. The new characters in the quantum realm were forgettable and really didn't make me give a ****. The discussion of Kang now being trapped in his probability mess and harnessing that power is a great insight to the next steps we'll hopefully see.

Tl;dr - lots of stage setting and no felt consequences. Majors is soooo good at this **** and Kang is going to be great. Rudd carried the movie. 5.5/8 imo.
