TNA World Hvt. champion Jeff Hardy's Superior Court case in North Carolina was continued to March 16, reports Prowrestling.net.
Hardy's latest hearing was scheduled for Wednesday morning, but Hardy's attorney, James Van Camp, was reportedly occupied with another client's murder case.
Hardy's legal situation was expected to be resolved on January 20 when a plea agreement would be presented to a judge. However, the District Attorney's office requested more time to review the case and the proposed plea agreement, prompting the case to be continued to February 16.
When the case is resolved, whether on March 16 or a later date, Hardy is expected to plead guilty to at least one felony and misdemeanor drug possession-related charge in exchange for a more favorable punishment.
The charges stem from his arrest in September 2009 shortly after parting ways with WWE. The plea bargain is subject to a judge's approval.
