I'm scared that management will end up giving Rudy a big extension unless he's traded. Heisley loves that guy, but he just has to be smart about it. I wouldn't give Rudy no more than a 6 year/50million deal.

I agree, you need a lil more than Bill Walker but Perkins is probably better than any other player in this draft aside from Griffin.

He may well pull a 180 and end up playing in Memphis if they draft him, but that doesn't mean his preference RIGHT NOW is anywhere but Memphis...
Gay + 2 for Love + 6
that trades makes ZERO sense for the T'wolves

QFT, Rubio wont come out and say it himself its bad bizz and he keeps the door open that if the griz draft him and he has no choice but to play for them he can always say "I never said i didnt want to play here?
and why do griz fans keep throwing Conleys name in trade rumors? nobody wants dude as there starting PG, griz fans are the only ones that think that his bum %$% has a NBA future as a starting PG. He cant shoot, cant run a half court offense and cant guard a chair. now tell me what teams want that for a starting PG?
why would the wolves just give away love for the number 2 pick? he has a brighter future in the NBA then Rudy gay because he knows his role plays it to a T and has a bball IQ. then add in Kevin McHale loves dude.
Gay + 2 for Love + 6
Adam S. (Minnesota)
I have been hearing rumors of the Wolves moving up to #2 to take Rubio. Any truth to this?
Chad Ford
There have been some rumblings around the league that they were talking to Memphis for what would be Kevin Love for the No. 2 pick. But from what I can gather, that's pretty bogus. The Wolves do like Rubio ... but there are all sorts of problems with them trading away Love ... the most obvious is that Love can't be traded back to the team that traded him in the first place for one year. So anything like that would have to happen after the draft. And, I'm not sure that Love is a perfect fit with Marc Gasol. They need more of a long, athletic shot blocker like ... Hasheem Thabeet!
What makes him think Gasol can play PF as slow as he is? A Gasol and Thabeet frontline would be the slowest, most foul prone frontline in theleague.I still don't like drafting need over talent anyways. Thewhole point of the draft is to get the best talent IMO. You get your needs via trade and free agency. That's why I'm glad Memphis traded Love for OJ.

It makes more sense than you think...
I just got off the phone with my homie. Hes out in Vegas with Bassy and Al Jeff. He said Al said Randy Foye will be outta Minnesota and they want Thabeet at 2. They want a future frontcourt of Al and Thabeet.

Kendrick Perkins is 24, played the best center in a league to a complete standstill and your laughing at the thought of him being the second best player in arguably one of the weakest drafts ever? Perkins>>>Thabeet, and that is the guy who will most likely go number 2.
