It's arguable that the civil rights movement would have failed had guns not been available.

Lived in VA, it would be 100% foolish for a black person to open carry there. Is it a right? Yes. Do cops care about our rights? Never have and never will. All it takes is one (white) person to call the cops about and armed black person in the area.

There was that video of that guy getting shot to death by a cop as he told the cop "i have a gun in the car...im reaching for my wallet, but i want you to be aware there is a fire arm in the car" or something along those lines. It was like a casual traffic stop too.

I remember that. Last time I got stopped after the cop ran my stuff and asked if I had anything I told him and literally made dude remove it from me himself. That **** was running through my mind the entire time.

I read an article where numerous students said they predicted this. That if anybody was going to do something like this, it was going to be him. Sounds like this could of been prevented.

The more I think about it the more i see that in order to change things we might have to fight fire with fire...they can’t legally only sell guns to one demographic, so every law abiding minority should arm themselves, in states where you can openly carry assault riffles, minorities should purposely do it and while doing so have their gun liscence hanging from their neck in plain sight...make white America as uncomfortable as possible and i can bet America’s racial bias will be the defining factor to change gun laws....

Word to the Mulford Act. A friend of mine was walking by a group of anti-gun protesters. He, a gun owner himself, went up to a demonstrator and asked him about his stance and why he felt that way. They had a conversation about it and the main concern with the guy was realized when he told my friend "We have to keep guns out of the hands of those Ns." Thing is, some people are anti-gun in general, but for others its just another avenue to minimize the rights of minorities.

At this point, if you're a minority male over the age of 21 and can legally own a gun, you should. I'm not saying you need to carry it around and post selfies with it on FB, but it's never a bad idea to have something in case of emergencies.

Only reason I bought/own/owned long guns is because they* do.

That’s really what it boils down to. Fear of others during a demographic and cultural shift. It’s all projection. They think the oppressed “others” will do the same atrocities to them that they did once their numbers, wealth and influence dwindles. So that’s why you got these guys training in the wilderness and stockpiling weapons for what they think is a day of reckoning or “race war”. In the minds of these types...it goes as follows:

-Gun safety laws = Taking away “our” guns
-Equal Voting rights = Taking away “our” country/influence
-Immigration reform = Browning of America/White Genocide

The right is all about weaponizing their constituents and enriching their donors while denying access and providing a level playing field for minorities.

I live near Fremont, CA, a city in the Bay Area with a HUGE Muslim population. You know how many times I've felt unsafe there? ZERO.

You know how many times I've felt unsafe in a non-gang affiliated majority black area in Oakland or majority Latino area in San Jose? ZERO.

You know how many times I've felt unsafe around an undocumented immigrant trying to make a living by doing jobs that no one else will do? ZERO.

You know how many times I've felt unsafe around an angry white dude screaming profanities at sports bars or on the streets? ALL THE @#$@$@ TIME. Try to say something to him about his inappropriate behavior, and watch him pull a gun out and shoot you and everyone else around you for the @#$@ of it.
