Florida School Shooting, Over 20 Casualties

Both jobs come with a similar risk and a level of courage to carry out properly...I don’t think is that far fetched of a comparison or unfair at all, you’ve been baiting me for at least 5 pages now trying to engage me in any discussion/argument you possibly can, do t think I haven’t noticed.

Why even make the comparison in the first place? How does that add to the argument?

They are two completely different jobs, I just don't see the need/point in comparing the "heart" of those jobs.

ESPECIALLY using a blanketed statement with no type of basis behind the statement.

Firemen was brought up a couple of posts before, I was agreeing with the post, THATS WHY.

Yeah firemen have wayyyy more balls than most cops and cops KNOW this....firemen will state death in the eye and run into a building burning in flames trying to save lives.
What is your basis for this statement KSteezy? How do you measure this exactly?

Firemen was brought up a couple of posts before, I was agreeing with the post, THATS WHY.
Pointless discussion, no matter WHO brought it up.

This man always has a hard on for me, been ignoring his posts directed at me since earlier in this thread, now he wants to discuss why I feel firemen have more courage than cops...lol he literally does this all the time, I’m not gonna entertain you b.

I respect your opinion. Have a blessed night

It’s hard for me to really take issue with the story of the deputy freezing up, but this is kind of wild:

When Coral Springs police officers arrived at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School in Parkland, FL, on Valentine’s Day, they saw not just the officer assigned to the school but three more Broward police officers with pistols drawn but taking cover behind their cars as a gunman was inside killing 17 students and staff, CNN’s Jake Tapper reported Friday, citing sources.

Not surprised in the least. I told yall that sheriff is a fraud and his department is hella trash. Smh he got that whole arena cheering using buzz words and joining them in attacking the nra knowing what he and his pos employees did.

Are there good officers? Yes. But when good people sit back and let bad people do what they want in the name of the blue line... Are they good anymore? I don't think so.

http://www.brownpoliticalreview.org/2014/04/the-second-amendment-individual-or-collective-rights/

“This tension is extremely important: it means that the fate of gun laws will not be determined by NRA membership or another Newtown-like massacre, but by whether we can agree on the conceptual origin of gun rights. If we can fully answer why an individual can buy a gun, then we can define when he may do so and what he can purchase.”

I feel like this should be discussed. Why does an individual need to own a weapon?

Is hunting for sport with a gun really a right protected by the constitution?

The idea of the right of the people vs that of an individual is a really important point. I’m the past it may have been necessary for a collective people to maintain a milita with weapons. But that was in the past.

A persons right to own a weapon is for what purpose?

This is what the golden rule is really about: acknowledging where your rights stop, where your obligations begin, and vice-versa.

In this country though, people feel that they don't have obligations towards one another.

Laying the foundations of your society on this point of view makes for a very ****** place to live for all.

Does it though?

Is that honestly what MOST people want?

Because a cop was just placed on leave for not wanting to "Play Rambo" by going into a school recklessly.

I think deep down inside "we" feel safer with cops that don't give a F
no WE don't ...speak for yourself
cops who don't give a F is a terrible idea
any PERSON that doesn't give a F about their job is terrible...people who don't give a F are terrible
i purposely avoid people with this type of attitude tbh
all those people not imposing stricter gun laws DO NOT GIVE A F
and you want to reinforce these values with more of the same?

these same cops that will run and play rambo are the same cops that kill black kids playing in the park for no reason

Nah, I Not speaking for me, which is why I said "we."

I was speaking for the powers that be and people that are not in low socio-economic areas.

Police that are not highly intelligent and are empathetic to humans aren't ideal to carry out their agendas.
