Hathaway is Catwoman; Hardy is Bane

I hope they do Bane justice.  The previous movie where he was just Poison Ivy's bodyguard got the character 100% wrong.  I really encourage people who think he's just a brute to read at least part of his Wikipedia entry that summarizes what the comics did with him:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bane_(comics)

I'm actually very surprised and disturbed that people are asking for another villain on top of Bane and Catwoman.  I think, if done right, one movie can't possibly be big enough for the two of them.  But I trust Nolan in pulling this off.

Oh, don't get me wrong.  It seems like the Batman aficionado's in here are pretty excited for Bane and between that and trusting in Nolan's choices, I have no doubt it'll be another amazing movie.  I just thought the main villain would be somebody a bit more mainstream if this is the final one.

I really wouldn't want to have Catwoman as one of the main villains though. I really would rather have her role to be similar as in Batman: Year One. IMO Catwoman isn't a diabolical villain like the Joker was. In many ways she is someone who possesses similar skills to Batman, yet uses her ability for her personal gain instead of fighting crime. She sides with either Batman or his rogues gallery depending on how it benefits her, not necessarily for good or evil.

With that said, whatever Nolan and Goyer come up with should be gold.

If Nolan does not introduce Hugo Strange, I hope he reintroduces Ra's. I would absolutely love to see Liam Neeson reprise the role. That in turn would also introduce Talia who would become Bruce's main love interest in the film.

What would happen with Bruce & Selina then? I think it would be a waste to not use Catwomans and Batmans relationship in the movie. I think Talia should be saved for the next movie, Hugo Strange is the perfect villain.
To be honest though, thinking about Bane and his abilities and intelligence, he really could carry the movie as the main villain. People just mistake the stupid Bane in the Batman & Robin movie. Bane is actually very smart, he managed to figure out Batmans secret identity, find the batcave and cripple him. He is more than just about brawn, dude is actually a genius.

Exactly . What I like about Bane is that the world never gave him a fair chance dude was forced to have life in prison as a newborn and he survived at all cost . He is a self made man everything he knows he figured out by himself with no assistance like Batman had. He wants to be famous for breaking the bat and take the fortune of the Waynes which he thinks is owed to him. Dude wants to destroy Batman/Bruce Wayne at all cost. Plus he got nothing to lose at all he aint never had nothing no friends no family nothing. Man I cannot wait for this

You won't get an argument from me in regards to Bane's ranks among Batman's rogues gallery, I just think there needs to be another villain involved. Look at The Dark Knight. Joker is unquestionably one of the top 3 greatest comic book villains of all time, yet they were still able to find a way to integrate the Harvey Dent/ Two Face arc. Same with Ra's in Batman Begins, another one of Batman's greatest arch rivals, but they also had Scarecrow in the film.

Now I can see if they had Catwoman as the secondary villain, but she's not technically a villain. As for having her as a love interest, I agree, that would eliminate the need for Talia.

I guess what I'm somewhat griping over, is that I never was a fan of Catwoman and as good a villain Bane is, I still think you need to add someone else to the mix.

The movie should still be good regardless. You guys who are downplaying the casting are acting like you guys are some well known movie critics. Let it be. Aren't you guys the same people who enjoyed the first two movies with an actor/actress you didn't like? Wait and reserve judgment until you actually see this one...or go in with no expectations.
